I love my doggies! "Bad Romance" by the one & only Lady Gaga. Hard level, difficulty level 5, on Dance Central 2 for Kinect Xbox 360. As soon as I saw this routine, I knew I had to learn it because it was a little jazzy, contemporary, & had a lot expressive nuances! You can certainly get away without doing those little nuances, but I'm a huge Lady Gaga fan, and I had to do this one JUSTICE!!! (well I tried) I was inspired by her individuality & she inspires me, which you can probably tell from the photos at the end of the video! Last photo is with Lady Gaga at her Monster Ball concert. I got the opportunity to meet her by winning a Lady Gaga-inspired costume contest. I had to wear heels (these by Sam Edelman) for this choreography because of the "Walk, walk, fashion baby" part! 100% moves and gold stars! Performing "Sexy Chick" by David Guetta featuring Akon on Hard for Dance Central 2. Choreographer: Torey Nelson (Twitter: @MrrNelson) My Favorite Thing About This Track: Some of the choreography pockets into unexpected beats in the song, which really makes you listen and understand the rhythm the moves are trying to hit. This choreography is badass! It really tests the borders of the game's ability to accommodate more dance studio-ready choreography! Sometimes during the routine I forget that I'm dancing inside what is essentially a 5x5 foot detection space! Okay, I can now safely agree with Internet chatter that despite "Sexy Chick" being the last listed--and therefore presumably the most difficult--song in Dance Central 2, it is not the toughest track you will come across in the game. For me, "Somebody to Love" and "Toxic" hold that distinction at the moment. Not to say this routine isn't difficult or complex (it is!), it's just not as hard to learn as you would expect. What helps raise this track's difficulty is the frequency at which it makes you look away from the screen, which means you can't always rely on the flashcards to get you through the routine. It isn't a problem, of course, if you're perfectly all right with craning your neck to have an uninterrupted view of your TV in lieu of getting a clean performance. I'm on Twitter! Battling to "Mai Ai Hee (Dragostei Din Dei)" by O-Zone on Hard for Dance Central 2 and Xbox 360 Kinect, choreographed by Ricardo Foster Jr. Choreographer: Ricardo Foster Jr. My Favorite Thing About This Track: Goofy and fun, Ricardo's taken the campy Internet meme roots of this song and translated it into good time party dancin'! Since it's listed as one of the easier tracks for Dance Central 2, Ricardo's choreography doesn't quite have the old school flair of his other work like "The Humpty Dance", "This Is How We Do It" or even the popping cool factor of DC's "Days Go By" (one of the more iconic routines in DC1 in my opinion). However, this routine isn't for showing off how good of a choreographer you are (and Ricardo is a great choreographer), but how much you can engage practically ANYONE to jump up and start dancing, and the moves here do that very well. I'm trying out a new product on my channel that I'm tentatively calling my Choreographer Series! Brilliant suggestions from @euthanasian and @mattboch led to coming up with this concept, where not only do we get to highlight a few of Dance Central's unsung masters, but we get to show off how much fun Dance Battling really is! Next up for the Choreographer Series is a DC2 Dance Battle with @euthanasian to "Meddle" by Little Boots on Hard for Dance Central 2 and Xbox 360 Kinect, choreographed by Marcos Aguirre! Choreographer: Marcos Aguirre (@mea5678) My Favorite Thing About This Track: Great track and really complementary choreography! What can we say about Marcos' choreography that hasn't already been said? As one of the Harmonix's lead choreographers (along with Frenchy Hernandez), he's done the lion's share of choreography in Dance Central, and by now we've done enough of his routines that we're able to point out the tracks he's done just by looking a few moves. He's behind some of the more memorable routines in DC2 like "Toxic", "Bad Romance", and one of my favorites, "Nothin' On You". All the DC choreographers--Marcos and Frenchy in particular--have helped shaped Dance Central to what it is today. Thank you all for putting the soul into the machinery! And a huge thank you to Harmonix for taking my two favorite things: gaming and dancing, and merging them without compromising either! 100% moves and gold stars! Performing "Only Girl (In The World)" by Rihanna on Hard for Dance Central 2 and Xbox 360 Kinect. I consider this a contender for TOUGHEST routine in Dance Central's entire roster. Choreographer: Spikey Soria (Twitter: @MsFierce321) My Favorite Thing About This Track: I like a challenge, and this routine chewed me up and spat me out! Also, a huge chunk of the choreography is lyrical, which changes the execution up in a great way! Holy hell, are you kidding me with the fantastic but crazy difficult choreography of this DLC track? This really tested the limits of what I ever thought I could pull off successfully in Dance Central. This track also has the distinction of giving me my first DC-related injury. With all the side crouching and dips, my hamstrings kept crying out for relief! Normally I'd let a routine of this difficulty sit and stew in my brain overnight, but I wanted to get this out the first day so I pushed in the morning and was able to get a decent run in after a few hours. Like another track I've rushed out ("Get Ur Freak On"), this could use a lot more cleaning up, but I figure that can always be for a later post. Next to my experience with "Turnin' Me On", this was the MOST difficult time I've ever had getting a decent run taped. I can usually tape a successful run a few takes in, but getting to a point where I was happy with my execution literally took hours. Running through BID twice, doing pre-shoot test runs, then finally doing <b>...</b>
