Digital POV Clock on Hard Drive Platter
I replaced the platter of a laptop hard disk with a circular bit of PCB with digits 0-9 etched in it. LEDs placed behind the spinning disk flash to "freeze" the moving digits in place to form a functioning digital clock. MineCraft Digital Clock
This is an example of Redstone Logic Gate Function being utilized for a clock. I have essentially created* an 11 torch clock, with 10 D Flip flops, 20 AND gates**, and 1 RS NOR Latch. The cool part of this clock design, is that I can simply attach the output on the 10th D Flip Flop, to a new series of 6 D Flip Flops, with their own RS NOR Latch. This 10th Flip Flop will act as the new clock pulse for the second series of 6, thus providing a carry-over function for the end of the sequence, thus producing 10, rather than just 0. This function can then carry-over as far as desired. My eventual goal is to create a 6 digit display for a 12 hour clock. (eg 12:59:59) *This clock is truly a product of my own mind, with all the sequences of logic having been created by myself. **I have done further work on the design, and have produced an encoder that utilizes 4x4x20 squares, rather than the massive 12x6x35 square the previous encoder did. It also no longer has the delay issue the 10 AND gates created from their cascade, since they do not exist in the new design. It's complete! You can see it here: www.youtube.com
Minecraft Digital Alarm Clock [Redstone]
Programmable digital alarm clock that I built out of Redstone. My apologies for the low quality, the video capture software that I used had a low frame rate, so it was making the transition's on the 7-segment display more prominent (it's much clearer in game). The clock is run on binary counters (counting either 0-9 or 0-6) made from T-flipflops with asynchronous resets and equal rise/fall time. The clock is accurate to 1 Minecraft day by about 10-20 seconds(in-game time) Thanks for watching, NuAoA, Algee.

The clock utilizes a 7 segment display system, with 6 displays (HH:MM:SS) It requires an 11 torch clock, 44 D Flip Flops, 5 RS NOR Latches, and countless repeaters. The clock is built up in the same way as my last clock, but i added hours and minutes. I also added buttons to edit the time, and a reset button to reset the clock. The reset button is a little bit laggy, didn't bother timing the readstone delay on the reset function... The video was recorded in Fraps, "tilt-shift" effect was rendered in "blender 2.49b", final video output was rendered in "Vegas Pro 10".

As far as first impressions go, I was actually a little bit disappointed, I thought it felt way too light and flimsy for a product with this price tag, I thought it would have a few more options on the back for different modes, and I wasn't very impressed with the fact that you have to manually reset the time ever time you unplug the Tix Clock. After some use though, I came to like my LED Tix Clock a lot more than at first glance. The weight issue isn't a huge deal, especially since it just sits on my desk and I never pick it up.
