HoloDesk - Direct 3D Interactions with a Situated See-Through Display
HoloDesk is a novel interactive system combining an optical see through display and Kinect camera to create the illusion that users are directly interacting with 3D graphics. A virtual image of a 3D scene is rendered through a half silvered mir- ror and spatially aligned with the real-world for the viewer. Users easily reach into an interaction volume displaying the virtual image. This allows the user to literally get their hands into the virtual display. A novel real-time algorithm for rep- resenting hands and other physical objects, which are sensed by the Kinect inside this volume, allows physically realistic interaction between real and virtual 3D objects.

Thanks for your support! Bin City is a 3D platform game programmed in C++ with DirectX 9. It is designed in Autodesk 3ds Max 2009 and the textures are drawn in Adobe Photoshop CS4. The used IDE was Microsoft Visual Studio 2008. I've been working on the game for about 9 months and it's my first 3D project. I did all the coding (I didn't use an engine), drawing, modeling and animating myself. Only the sounds and the music in the game aren't made by me. This video shows some ingame scenes of the game. Classic Game Room reviews SUPER MONKEY BALL 3D for Nintendo 3DS from Sega. This 3D version of Super Monkey Ball on Nintendo 3DS has depth of field and shows some cool 3D effects on the bananas flying around the screen with a rotating playing field in space. The effect is neat but grating on the eyes after a while, thankfully Super Monkey Ball 3D can be played in 2D with one D to spare. Super Monkey Ball 3D for 3DS also has several mini games called Monkey Race and Monkey Fight which are clones of Super Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros. Brawl respectively. Not terribly original but fun and addicting additions to the Super Monkey Ball gameplay. Super Monkey Ball 3D lacks much of the challenge of earlier games in the series but packs creative visuals and hours of gameplay. This CGR review of Super Monkey Ball 3D has gameplay from Super Monkey Ball 3D on Nintendo 3DS.
