Firstly, i want to apologize for the video being so late, i slated the release for Christmas but didn't realise the scale of the project whilst editing. This trailer was my biggest challenge to date. Trying to encapsulate 50 years of a program is always going to be difficult, but i have given it everything. The video looks at the Doctor, challenging the very core of the show itself, just who is the mysterious mad man? My last attempt was a little bias towards the new series, this time i have tried to balance it much more, incorporating a wider range of clips from the classic era. Some Doctors' appear more than others in the video, its something that was always going to happen, its not a matter of opinion but rather down to the resources. I liked the idea of presenting many of the monsters and aliens seen throughout the show's history and introducing the Doctor in all his glory afterwards. There are a couple of monsters i didnt include that i felt needed a little mention, both the Sea Devils and the Zygons are two of my favorite enemies, but due to resources, neither had an appearance. As recommended in 'Doctor Who Magazine' issue 444, this is a rundown of every Doctor Who adventure from 1963's 'An Unearthly Child' right up to 2011's Christmas Special 'The Doctor, The Widow and the Wardrobe'. Every story is represented in this video, but 106 individual episodes are still missing from the BBC archives (stories with missing episodes appear here by way of either small surviving clips or reconstructions). The re-coloured clip of 'The Mind of Evil' is one of several from the UNIT documentary on the 'Day of the Daleks' DVD. Clips from other missing serials have come from a variety of different sources. I have hand-colourised the 'Ambassadors of Death Trailer' clip especially for this video tribute. The numbering is a personal issue. I consulted with Wikipedia when compiling the tribute but I disagreed with some of the decisions made by the people who contributed to the page. 'A Good Man Goes To War' is not, in my opinion, part of a two-episode story with 'Let's Kill Hitler'. The storyline, locations, guest artists and directors are all different. Similarly, I consider 'Utopia' to be a single episode, with a suffiently different plot (an a different director) to the 2-part 'Sound of Drums'/'Last of the Time Lords'. Other fans are bound to be in uproar, but it all comes down to personal opinion. All I can suggest to those who disagree is... go make your own tribute! Download Audio: vibedeck.com I've been extremely busy the last month or so. First my computer died on me, then finals, then work, and on top of that most of my family moved away to India. So sorry for the delay in videos. I'm still preoccupied, but I hope to be able to start putting videos up again. This was highly requested from long ago so I hope you guys enjoy it. I've really thought about how I record my audio and what has sounded good over the past videos. I combined those elements as best I could. I don't have two microphones of equal quality, so I recorded the left four and right four drives separately and pushed the audio to their respective side. I then recorded all eight and put it through a low pass filter and a small bass boost. I think the resulting mix of the three tracks sounds the best. It takes a lot more time to record and edit, but I thought it was worth it. Let me know what you think. Oh and I also started a FaceBook page.
