And then so clear to wonder To wake with open eyes As the snow across the tundra And the rain across the skies And the rain across the skies So much again and weightless In the motherworld of space We fail to form to come to And the razor mountains fade And the day is cursed in shame In these the world we open So much to lose to save To light the highest beacons And the rose of love will bleed And the rose of love will bleed In these the world we open So much to lose and save To light the brightest beacon And the rose of love will bleed And the razor mountains fade And the day is cursed in shame More info at: newyorkercomment.blogspot.com

Brian Eno - By This River

Here we are Stuck by this river, You and I Underneath a sky that's ever falling down, down, down Ever falling down. Through the day As if on an ocean Waiting here, Always failing to remember why we came, came, came: I wonder why we came. You talk to me as if from a distance And I reply With impressions chosen from another time, time, time, From another time.

Brian Eno - Microsoft Windows Theme

The Microsoft Sound composed by Brian Eno. In 1994 Microsoft corporation designers Mark Malamud and Erik Gavriluk approached Brian Eno to compose music for the Windows 95 project. The result was the six-second start-up music-sound of the Windows 95 operating system, The Microsoft Sound (.wav). In the San Francisco Chronicle he said: "The idea came up at the time when I was completely bereft of ideas. I'd been working on my own music for a while and was quite lost, actually. And I really appreciated someone coming along and saying, "Here's a specific problem — solve it." The thing from the agency said, "We want a piece of music that is inspiring, universal, blah- blah, da-da-da, optimistic, futuristic, sentimental, emotional," this whole list of adjectives, and then at the bottom it said "and it must be 31/4 seconds long." I thought this was so funny and an amazing thought to actually try to make a little piece of music. It's like making a tiny little jewel. In fact, I made 84 pieces. I got completely into this world of tiny, tiny little pieces of music. I was so sensitive to microseconds at the end of this that it really broke a logjam in my own work. Then when I'd finished that and I went back to working with pieces that were like three minutes long, it seemed like oceans of time. As a guest on the The Museum of Curiosity radio show, Eno stated that the list of adjectives, which included "sexy", comprised "about one-hundred and fifty adjectives" and that the music was to ...

Brian Eno & David Byrne - Home

Have a look: www.facebook.com Lyrics : The dimming of the light makes the picture clearer It's just an old photograph There's nothing to hide When the world was just beginning I memorized a face so it's not forgotten I hear the wind whistlin' Come back anytime And we'll mix our lives together Heaven knows- what keeps mankind alive Every hand- goes searching for its partner In crime- under chairs and behind tables Connecting- to places we have known I'm looking for a Home- where the wheels are turning Home- why I keep returning Home- where my world is breaking in two Home- with the neighbors fighting Home- always so exciting Home- were my parents telling the truth? Home- such a funny feeling Home- no-one ever speaking Home- with our bodies touching Home- and the cam'ras watching Home- will infect what ever you do We're Home- comes to life from outa the blue Tiny little boats on a beach at sunset I took a drink from a jar and into my head Familiar smells and flavors Vehicles are stuck on the plains of heaven I see their wheels spinning round and everywhere I can hear those people saying That the eye- is the measure of the man You can fly- from the stuff that still surrounds you We're home- and the band keeps marchin' on Connecting- to every living soul Compassion- for things I'll never know Album: Everything That Happens Will Happen Today

Brian Eno - Needle in the Camel's Eye

"The artist" Brian Peter George St. John le Baptiste de la Salle Eno (born 15 May 1948), commonly known as Brian Eno, is an English musician, composer, record producer, music theorist and singer, who, as a solo artist, is best known as the father of ambient music. "The Album" Here Come the Warm Jets is the debut solo album by Brian Eno. Produced by Eno, it was released on Island Records in 1973. The musical style of Here Come the Warm Jets is a hybrid of glam rock and art rock, similar to Eno's previous album work with Roxy Music but with songs that are more quirky and experimental. The album features various guest musicians, including Fripp, members of Roxy Music, Hawkwind, Matching Mole, and The Pink Fairies. In developing the album's words and music, Eno used abstract methods such as dancing for his band members and having them play accordingly, and singing nonsense words to himself that would form the basis of subsequent lyrics. Here Come the Warm Jets peaked at number 26 on the United Kingdom album charts and number 151 on the US Billboard charts, receiving a number of positive reviews. It was re-issued on compact disc in 1990 on Island Records and in 2004 on Virgin Records, and continued to elicit praise. Critic Steve Huey of Allmusic stated that the album "still sounds exciting, forward-looking, and densely detailed, revealing more intricacies with every play" "Personnel" Brian Eno vocals, synthesizer, guitar, keyboards, treatments, instrumentation Chris Spedding ...
