UK Fish Shop Hampered by EU Regulations.

UK Fish shop owner describes how countless EU regulations make his business more difficult to manage. UK fishing industry on the downturn and mostly ruined by foreign competition through deals made in the EU to let other countries have their fish. Just like the demise of UK fishing, independent small shops are being driven out of business by competition from the large sellers. By design? Yes. Football agents face EU regulation

Football is a truly global sport and an enormous money-making machine particularly when it comes to the transfer of players from one club to another. With the regulation of sport now coming under the scope of the Lisbon treaty, the EU is looking at ways of supervising players' agents to make their role and profession more transparent.

The EU - A Neo-Soviet Regional World Government

Do you feel you've become powerless, or your vote is worth less? The six EU treaties are removing our democracy and harmonising our laws with the EU; 70% of Parliament's new laws are the EU's, not ours. Isn't the real reason people have lost interest in politics precisely because the EU has taken away our ability to change things? Common law, where government was our servant, is now largely replaced by the EU's Corpus Juris, where the government is the ruler, we are the ruled, and don't participate. We have lost most of our rights (including habeas corpus). The power of government grows unchecked. Yet politicians lie about the EU, pretending its not significant. Massive EU corruption The EU's auditors have found the fraud is so widespread they've refused to sign the EU's accounts for ten years. Whistleblowers like Marta Andreason, the EU Budget Director, who in 2005 found the EU couldn't account for 95% of its £66 billion budget, are simply fired for telling the truth. The bribing of our Politicians by the EU Europe works by bribing politicians with huge salaries and expenses to vote for Europe, against the best interests of their voters. So Labour, Conservatives and the Lib Dems are all in favour of the EU - a Westminster one party state. EU corruption is exploding in our Civil Service, local government, and 7000+ quangos. Common Purpose is the glue that enables fraud to be committed across government departments, most of it lining the pockets of politicians and ...

Motorcycle Protest 25/09/2011 Dublin

Motorcycle protest Outside the Dail on Kildare street, Dublin. Over 1000 bikes made the run on the wet Sunday to show solidarity against the proposed EU regulation changes which will make motorcycling less economical and, according to some, more dangerous in certain ways. Camera is a bit shaky but it's just to show how many actually made the run on the day. The last minute is probably where I actually realised I was meant to be recording properly. :p

'EU costs UK a block of gold every 100 sec'

The cost of EU membership is unreasonably high and not worth it for the UK, argues Dr Lee Rotherham, a veteran from behind the scenes of UK-EU relations. Dr Lee Rotherham is an EU Policy Analyst at Taxpayers' Alliance and author of Ten Years On: Britain Without the European Union. He told RT that the UK's overall bill for EU membership, including direct and indirect costs for business and the whole country, could be up to £110 billion a year. However, he added that nobody knows that for sure because there has not been a gross benefit analysis of EU membership. Therefore there is a big question over whether UK taxpayers' money is being spent effectively, particularly in regard to the unprecedented economic problems the financial crisis brought to Southern and Eastern Europe. Rotherham said: "The cost of the [EU] regulations, in terms of the UK, is greater than the actual value of the trade that it is meant to regulate. That's because the regulations cover ten per cent of the British economy, which is our exports to the EU, but actually cover 100 per cent of the UK economy. Eighty per cent is internal, ten percent is to the rest of the world." The whole economy has to pay the price of the 10 per cent regulated by the EU. In real terms, the UK could buy a new hospital every three days with the money it spends on EU regulations and membership fees."The British taxpayer is funding taxes and naturally expects the money to be spent for the benefit of themselves, as fundamentally ...

The EU and stem cell research

WWW.EUX.TV -- Many commentators say that the lack of common rules are obstructing research, denying patients access to the most advanced treatment. In addition uncontrolled experiments can pose a danger to patients. The European Commission has proposed an attempt to codify rules and guidelines in the area. The Parliament's Environment Committee adopted a report on the matter on 31 January - a report authored by Slovak MEP Miroslav MIKOLÁŠIK (PPE-DE) . The Committee backed a draft EU regulation designed to encourage the development of gene therapy, cell therapy and tissue engineering. However, MEPs are demanding guarantees about the safety of the products and techniques used and would also like to see more support for smaller companies working in this field. The report recommends the following: - Creating common rules for advanced therapy. - Establishing a new Committee in the European Medicines Agency to allow centralised evaluation, authorisation, supervision and monitoring. - Ensuring a high level of health and safety. The report is scheduled for first reading at Parliament's part-session 23-26/4/2007

Stronger Leadership: Ethics, Values, Integrity, Corruption - EU Commission - Keynote Speaker

www.globalchange.com What is ethical leadership? Leadership ethics and integrity in public life. How do we encourage leadership integrity and fight corruption in leaders? At this session and afterwards, many participants confessed that they had been under significant pressure by bosses to do major things that they thought were unethical. Keynote conference speaker Patrick Dixon -- lecture at European Commission. Why leadership has to be based on trust, not just position, appealing to heart as well as to mind. Importance of the European Commission and trans-national regulation. Trust crisis in banking and financial services as well as in politicians, governments and the European Union. How to restore trust and public confidence in political process, parties, elections and democracy itself. How trust can be lost instantly in media, web, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn and other social media -- eg dioxin food contamination scandal -- Belgium and impact on Italy, and failure of agricultural ministers to win media debate. Leadership must connect with passion things we feel strongly about, that really matter, that make a big difference. Eg debate on ethics of food-linked biofuels and burning food in vehicles, impact on global food prices, food riots, international security, connecting oil, food and land prices. Does Britain have a Constitution?

Some interesting facts about the EU below. 1. The Queen has signed 6 of the 7 EU Treaties. 2. The 6 treaties define and build the EU as an unelected dictatorship. 3. The EU's laws give it the powers of a police state. 4. The 7th EU treaty will complete the abolition of Britain as a nation - the Queen could sign it in as little as two years. Shouldn't we repeal the 1972 European Communities Act now before we are imprisoned inside? 5. Thirty four years inside the EU - have you noticed how our democracy is being withdrawn? The EU has denied us that most basic of human rights - the right to vote against the EU and to keep our own nation. A majority of us don't want to be in the EU. We are being forced in against our will. Do you feel you've become powerless, or your vote is worth less? The six treaties are removing our democracy and harmonising our laws with the EU; 70% of Parliament's new laws are the EU's, not ours. Simon Maughan - on UK Banking, the EU, RBS & Lloyds

11 Oct 2011 Bloomberg Simon Maughan is Head of Sales and Distribution at MF Global. Ms Ana Botin is Chief Executive of Santander UK. She is giving evidence at a House of Lords Committee over the final report of the Independent Commission on Banking. [On the Vickers proposals] [Is this something that is going to skew the playing field and make it harder for British banks to do business and be competitive?] Simon Maughan -- The whole pitch of the Vickers report is because we're ringfencing the business that you do in the European zone that you're going to be as competitive as anybody competing next to you. I think ideally Vickers should have recommended purely for the UK so that there would be no risk that somebody would come from outside to take away your business. They simply wouldn't have the on-the-ground staffing and branches [Very important -- control the bank branches and you control the country]. But because of EU Law they have to extend that ringfence out into the Eurozone which increases the chance that the banks are at a slight competitive disadvantage. But the whole thrust of the report is that the businesses that are genuinely international will be outside of the ringfence. [The UK taxpayer owns 80% of RBS and 40% of Lloyds Banking Group. What does the ICB's recommendation do to the government's timetable to get back its £85bn stake in those banks?] Neither bank is in a position to resume dividends because of EU regulations around state aid. That's the biggest ...

In Memory of Abused Animals of Greece

www.everyclick.com The abusive treatment of animals in Greece is absolutely appalling and has been going on for many, many years. Their government just seem not to care, and as one Greek friend said, they dont bother about their own people and the elderly, so why would they care about animals. There are a many decent greek people trying to help, but they openly admit, they are in the minority, a good majority are in denial and the rest are just cruel thugs, not like the greeks we read about in history books at school. I do applaud those greeks that are doing what they can to try and stop this cruelty and I feel sorry that they admit they are shameful. The one's who are in denial, simply throw out the old chestnut, well it is not just our country. But "our country" has been in the EU for 27 years, flout more EU regulations than any other, and have the worst record per capita for animal abuse in Europe. Greece is not an impoverished country, and claws in millions of tourist euro. Hundreds of thousands of cats and dogs have been destroyed, noticably prior to the Athens Olympics in 2004. PETA and WSPA tried to get involved prior to this, but the with greek attitude about humane euthanasia (they prefer poisoning) and their backward attitude towards neutering programs, talks fell apart. Incidentally, 12 million euro were destined for shelters and neutering programs, but this has just vanished!!!!!!
