At least 45000 people in the German city of Koblenz have been ordered to leave their homes for a day after an unexploded bomb was found in the Rhine river. Bangkok, Thailand (CNN) -- Floodwaters in Bangkok have reached Don Muang Airport, one of the Thai capital's two main airports and home to the flood relief operation command, which may have to move to another location, according to the governor. In addition to Don Muang, residents in five other areas should prepare for floods, move their belongings to upper floors and take shelter at evacuation centers, Governor Sukhumbhand Paribatra said in a news conference on Monday. Principal Ross Quist wanted to try a different approach to the school's annual evacuation drill with a goal of having 90-95 percent of the students delivered to their parents in less than two hours. His method: use and share the cell phones students and teachers already have to contact parents. An additional twist: the school would not involve any outside help from the PTA. I'm not trying to "save the earth". Rather, I'm simply attempting to save money, and minimize the impact that rising oil and energy prices have on my yearly cash outlays, and by inference, standard of living. This clever hot water heater offers relatively low cost of entry, sufficient output, and a short payback period. At current LP gas prices, it will take about four years to pay for the unit (less time if I qualify for tax rebates)(even less time if LP prices rise). Cost to produce hot water in the months with "long days" should be zero Dollars. With my limited experience to date, the use of LP gas to supplement hot water production in the winter months (during periods of extended cloud cover) should be minimal, based on my consumption requirements.

This Air Explore Boeing 737 was evacuated after landing in Kos, Greece, on Sep. 4 2010. The reason seems to be an overheated engine (Nr. 1, left side of plane), possibly after a preceeding engine fire inflight. There was no smoke until the fire brigade shot a load of foam into the engine (1:40). Most passengers left the airplane through door 1R. Most of them took their handluggage. Door 1L is not visible, 3R didn't shoot the slide (correct because of baggage carts blocking the inflation range. 3L initially didn't shoot the slide because of a set of stairs in the way, but those where not close enough to the door to be used for evacuation. At 0:42 the slide is being shot anyway, and gets stuck on top of the stairs, until at 1:44 finally ground crew are removing the stairs, allowing the slide to fall into position. Only a few passengers use this door then. The evacuation took almost 5 minutes, due to only one door beeing used for the most, and people taking their handluggagage along. The airport was closed for almost an hour since fire protection was not available anymore. Sorry, no sound.

Private Chris Gray Sadly died in Afghanistan on Friday 13 April 2007. Private Chris Gray, aged 19, from1st Battalion The Royal Anglian Regiment, was killed in action whilst fighting the Taliban in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. He was a member of A Company Group, 1 Royal Anglian Battlegroup, conducting a clearance patrol in the town of Now Zad in support of the Government of Afghanistan. The patrol was attacked by the Taliban; employing small arms, heavy machine guns, rocket propelled grenades, mortars and rockets. As lead elements of the patrol were pinned down by enemy fire, Private Grays Platoon manoeuvred to support their comrades and out-flank the enemy. Private Gray was the point man in his Platoon selected for this position as a result of his outstanding soldiering skills. As they manoeuvred, Private Grays section observed a group of armed Taliban fighters at close range, whom they immediately engaged. A fierce firefight ensued at a range of just 15 metres, during which a small number of Taliban were killed. Dunkirk evacuation From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia The Dunkirk evacuation, commonly known as the Miracle of Dunkirk, code-named Operation Dynamo by the British, was the evacuation of Allied soldiers from the beaches and harbour of Dunkirk, France, between 26 May and the early hours of 3 June 1940, because the British, French and Belgian troops were cut off by the German army during the Battle of Dunkirk in the Second World War. The evacuation was ordered on 26 May. In a speech to the House of Commons, Winston Churchill called the events in France "a colossal military disaster", saying that "the whole root and core and brain of the British Army" had been stranded at Dunkirk and seemed about to perish or be captured. Our day at Tokyo Disney Sea had us evacuated from 2 rides in a row. Firstly from the "Journey to the Centre of the Earth" ride, and then the "20000 Leagues Under the Sea" ride. The second was a far more interesting experience so I took the chance to make a small movie for you to enjoy. Leaving the Submarine was quite fun as we had to climb a small ladder at the back of the car onto the roof and then step onto a walkway suspended above the now brightly lit track. I don't speak Japanese so can't tell you what the Cast Members are saying, however they were totally professional at all times. I hope you enjoy seeing some behind the scenes Disney Magic.
