Finding myself on the front page of the paper and because some of my videos (like my first Euro Fighter video), I decided to get another EF-2000. I added some of my reinforcements and fly it in it's own honor with camera on board. This EF-2000 Eurofighter is an EDF electric ducted fan jet and it a fabulous flying machine in my book. I have made many videos of it using on board cameras too. It handles them all. Eurofighter Typhoon RAF Leuchars Airshow 2009 Typhoon will provide the RAF with a multi-role combat aircraft, capable of being deployed in the full spectrum of air operations, from air policing, to peace support, through to high intensity conflict. Britain, Germany, Italy and Spain formally agreed to start development of the aircraft in 1988 with contracts for a first batch of 148 aircraft of which 55 are for the RAF signed ten years later. Deliveries to the RAF started in 2003 to 17(R) Sqn, based at BAE Systems Warton Aerodrome in Lancashire, alongside the factory in which the aircraft are assembled, while detailed development and testing of the aircraft was carried out. Formal activation of the Typhoon Squadron at RAF Coningsby occurred on the 1st Jul 2005, with operational employment expected to be declared later on this decade. An incremental acquisition has always been envisaged resulting in a true multi-role weapon system. Initial production aircraft of the F2 standard will be deployed primarily as air-superiority fighters, but will quickly be equipped with a potent precision ground-attack capability. Armament will include the long-range Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missile (AMRAAM), the UK-developed Advanced Short Range Air-to-Air Missile (ASRAAM) and various air-to-ground weapons. **Please Read this. Thanks. I'm always looking for "Just the right Camera" for putting on my forehead and planes. I was intrigued by the ad from Woot.com, so I bought one and thought I would share the results in Black Light, Low Rink Light, and on my EF-2000 EuroFighter Typhoon Jet. The camera works very simply and that I like The Flip out USB plug is also great. It is a full 1080p HD camera that shoots 60 FPS, also good and has an exceptionally clear monitor, and 3X zoom. Since this camera line has been discontinued, I would encourage you to find one for your plane or heli if you like what you see, because there are great deals out there still. Beware though, as it easily can overload your Movie editor for with those big MPEG 4 files. But they can easily be converted to MPEG 2 files and still have a nice picture, so not to worry. I paid $39 for mine. I have seen them from that up to $89, so Google for best deals. Airshowvision present the return of "The King" (albeit temporarily) to UK airshows, and how we have missed this aircraft . Here we see the very same aircraft which was displayed by Nat Makepeace at Farnborough 2010, but without the centreline tank. This is Bae systems Eurofighter Typhoon IPA5 in FGR4 configuration, with a mixture of air to air and ground attack munitions, ready for a swing-role mission. The pilot is Bae systems chief test pilot Mark Bowman, who put this sequence together in very short time, but he ably demonstrates just how capable this aircraft is when carrying several tons of weapons. This is more of a handling demonsration rather than a lightweight fighter display, but it is just great. Enjoy this because it might be 2012 before you see it at a UK airshow again . . ? In particular check out the sensational "head on rolling break", which is the best Typhoon manouver I have yet seen. What could this man do with this aircraft at Farnborough 2012 with a few months of display practise? The mind boggles! This display was an award winner at the RIAT 2011show, voted best UK participant in the show. Apologies for the naff camerawork - it was very windy!

At this time of year we are usually anxiously awaiting the new Royal Air Force Typhoon display. However, with 10 of the UK Typhoons out in Italy enforcing the UN Libyan no-fly zone there are seemingly not enough aircraft left to perform displays at weekends, (despite the RAF managing to find 2 examples for a Royal wedding flypast - full of people who couldn't give af*** whether the Typhoon was present or not!) Anyway it appears the 2011 airshow will have to wait. However this display from the PDA in 2009 is a great substitute, and the best Typhoon display I have ever seen, & the only one where the Typhoon visibly looks like a far superior aircraft to the F16 (which of course it is), so enjoy this instead while we wait for the 2011 display, hopefully before mid season. . .? I doubt the new display will be better than this, but who knows - this is an absolute scorcher, with loads of steep climbs, and dives back towards the crowd, plus a great flick manouver, and new negative G dive. Enjoy!
