Extreme Eyefinity Game Tech Demo on Linux - 63 Megapixel Madness
63 Megapixels on *one* PC. 1 PC 1 AMD Phenom™ X4 CPU 4 ATI Radeon™ HD 5870 Eyefinity 6 Edition Video Card 24 1920x1200 Dell 2408WFP Display Port Monitors Ubuntu 9.04 X-Plane 9.40beta Each monitor was 1920x1200 with a small amount of bezel correction (150 H, 120 V). So the effective displaysize is 1920*6+150*5 = 12270 horizontally and 1200*4+120*3 = 5160 vertically for a total effective resoltuion is 12270*5160 = 63313200 pixels! This is a technology demonstration of what can be achieved on one PC. The monitors were 24 inches at 1920x1200, but it demonstrates the flexibility of AMD's new upcoming technology. Choose 1 card with 6 40" monitors, 2 cards with 12 30" 2560x1600. 3 cards with 18 projectors for an immersive 180 or 360 degree experience. The technology will be there shortly and available from your standard technology super-store.

www.tweaktown.com COMPUTEX Taipei 2010 - AMD has being pushing the whole Eyefinity multi-monitor gaming thing for a good while now and despite some minor connectivity issues, it has been accepted with generally lots of excitement in the industry. First up AMD launched Eyefinity with three monitor support, but now the latest video cards are able to support up to six monitors - and 12 in the case of a solution from PowerColor. We walked by the AMD booth today and then of just walking past it like most booths, I stopped and was really impressed with the dual Eyefinity6 setup that the folks over at AMD prepared for the show. AMD had its booth setup in a way so that folks could sit down and watch people race each other on the 'big screen' in Dirt 2. Super cool. Eyefinity Team Fortress 2 on a Single XFX 5850 in 1080p
Decided to have a go at Team Fortress 2 today. Still a great frickin game with a shitload of people still playing around the clock. Anyways, I could have sworn I had this set to 5760x1080 but I guess it was a tad higher. Everything was at high settings, you could check the exact detail settings at the end of the video if you wish. I havent even messed around with the settings yet but it plays great as seen in the video. ATI Eyefinity Challenge with HardOCP
This November, the ATI Eyefinity Challenge in Dallas, TX, hosted by AMD and HardOCP, put multi-monitor gaming to the test. Participants had the opportunity to experience "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare" multiplayer on a single-monitor and three-monitor desktops powered with ATI Radeon 5800-series video cards. Other systems available to play included 6-display setup for Tom Clancy's HAWX and a 3-display setup for the GRID racing sim. Last, but certainly not least, was a wall of projection screens displaying a seamless Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 frag-fest.

This demo real shows setting up the new Eyefinity 5x1-Portrait Eyefinity mode. It also shows off footage of: - Heaven Demo (v1) - HAWX - Half-Life 2 - Just Cause 2 - Battle Forge running on five screens. The gameplay video is off an HD Cam, so you can see how it looks while playing. Note that while you are seeing screens in a 1080p video, the actual setup spans a diagonal of approximately five feet. You'd have to play the video on a 60" TV and sit about 18" from it to get the full immersion. The setup is 5x1080x1920 - 10.4M pixels. These five 1080p screens offer 5 the pixels and resolution of an HDTV.
