Somewhere in a plush South Bombay night club a young 22 year old over doses on drugs. Somewhere else a drunken 20 year old runs over sleeping street dwellers. Somewhere else a small group of 18 year olds get into a rabid fight after a rock concert - the rich in the city are getting richer by the day - their crimes are getting more random & more uncontrollable - the cops in the city are not able to deal with it - they cannot relate to the rich youth - they cannot understand their problems & they cannot help them in any possible way. Not only can they not understand or relate to them but they are also unable to investigate these crimes thanks to the clout and connections the rich criminals have. And this leads to immense frustration in the police force. Senior Inspector Damodar Deshmukh is one such frustrated, honest cop who is unable to deal with the aggravation of having unsolved cases which remain unsolved because of the various obstructions that the rich are able to put in the path of his investigations. But what is one lone cop to do? Specially when he has no access to the worlds of the rich -- in fact he has no access into their minds either. As he puts it, he can still understand crimes which have a motivation of hunger, greed, need -- crimes committed daily by the poor, the dispossessed, the homeless. Suryakamal tells Preeti that he finds himself guilty for her state; Preeti has sacrificed greatly for her mothers love. He confronts her that its not fair on his part to tie her forcibly in the pious relationship like marriage and hence he will be fine even if she will take decision of breaking the marriage. Suryakamal tells Preeti that her happiness is the most important for him. Preeti gets zapped and wonders how to react to the situation. Snehlata, Ratan, Saroj, Manik and Vinay- Radhika are preparing for pagfere ritual. Radhika has begun noticing Saroj diplomatic and cunning nature. After thinking deeply Preeti finally takes a stand. Preeti tells Suryakamal that her mother-Snehlata will not be able to digest the fact that she is unhappy with the marriage, so it will be better if Suryakamal himself will tell her mother-Snehlata that he is not happy with this marriage. When Shanti and Ritu are opening the bag, Sajni arrives and protests. Shanti shouts at Sajni and just then Suryakamal and Preeti also arrive. Suryakamal is taken aback and asks her what she is doing and Preeti subconsciously tells him that she is checking his wig. SK is shocked to know about Preetis misunderstanding, he makes her realize that he doesnt wear a wig and its his real hair.. Preetis amused and she starts laughing heartily. Suryakamal is pleased to look her laughing for the first time after marriage and he cant get his eyes off her!

Sujata tells Rishi to apologize to Summi. Rishi by gifting many flowers managed to make Summi forgive him. SK gets a new regulator which Priti misunderstands as a gift for her, she tells him that she doesnt want any gift and please dont get anything for her. Later Preeti realizes that Suryakamal has got a regulator and not a gift and he is repairing the ceiling fan. Summi calls and invites Suryakamal and Preeti for a movie. Preeti is more than happy to go and meet Summi after so long but is dejected when she comes to know that Suryakamal is also coming along.
