The old Steely Dan tune, this time done by Don as part of his Rock and Soul Review, with vocals by Michael McDonald. Stirring guitar by Drew Zingg. Original lyrics by Jennifer Warnes. Never been uploaded before nor widely distributed. Or at least that's what I think. But whether I'm wrong or right, it's Donald's music that matters. Enjoy. And share the wealth, I always say.

Audio is Steely Dan in1996 playing IGY from Donald Fagen's Nightfly, one of the best albums of the 20th cent. IGY was the International Geophysical Year, 1957-58. Amongst many events were the launching of artificial satellites by the Soviet Union (Sputnik 1) and the States (Vanguard). Both feature in this video along with some Real-Time Google images of the thousands of satellites that now orbit the Earth.

The finale of the 1992 New York Rock & Soul Revue concert in Philadelphia. A poor video but nice performance of the Beach Boys classic. Joining Donald Fagen on stage are Boz Scaggs, Phoebe Snow, Michael McDonald, Chuck Jackson, The Hooters, and Walter Becker. Again, sorry for the poor quality. I

More rare cd's including Japanese imports, gold discs, the long forgotten longbox, soundtracks,Lp's, promos, the very first ever cd player (Sony CDP 101), first ever cd by an American artist (Billy Joel 52nd Street) and other items so rare many music websites will tell you they don't exist! I've been a collector since 1987 and have over 15000 items in my collection! If you have any questions about anything you see, drop me a line! Thanks for watching!

One of the best from Donald. Donald Jay Fagen (born January 10, 1948[2]) is an American musician and songwriter, best known as the co-founder, lead singer, and the principal songwriter of the rock band Steely Dan (along with partner Walter Becker). Fagen is known for his use of jazz harmonies, elaborate arrangements, and attention to detail. Fagen launched a successful, if sporadic, solo career in 1982, spawning three albums to date.

My top-favorite Donald Fagan song (besides Green Flower Street). I used a prerecorded track for this one. There really isn't any way to cover the mid-section of this song, especially seeing as though I can't play guitar... but I figured a melodica solo would suffice. I also ended up transcribing the entire piece by ear... so I put a lot of work into this one.
