Argentina is intercepting boats flying the Falklands flag or banning them from ports. The UK is considering sending a nuclear subarine. It seems Argentina is eyeing the oil reverves as well as the commercial fishing assettsof the region. If Argentina re-invades this could mean loss of life on both sides. Mercosur, which includes Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay, came to the decision at a summit in the Uruguayan capital, Montevideo. Jan Cheek is member of the Falkland Islands Assembly - her family have lived on the island for six generations.
