The Top Ten Moves of Mr. Gannosuke

Mr. Gannosuke is probably known for being the top heel wrestler for FMW during its final five years. A lifelong friend of Hayabusa, both men joined the FMW dojo at the same time, and both graduated in the same class. As the two began their careers, they eventually had matches against one another. Word got out that the two were good friends, and the fans seemed to enjoy that friendly competition. Eventually, the name Mr. Gannosuke was bestowed upon him, and his career began a slow, methodical rise. As Hayabusa(not yet wrestling under that character yet) was on the undercard of shows, Gannosuke was at the other end of the spectrum, often teaming with Tarzan Goto and Atsushi Onita. In 1995, things began to unfold that would affect the rest of Gannosuke's career. After a disagreement over Onita's retirement match, Tarzan left FMW, and Gannosuke and Flying Kid Ichihara followed. Hayabusa would wrestle Onita in his retirement, and his stock would rise astronomically. Meanwhile, Gannosuke had followed Goto to IWA Japan. There, he would compete mainly in deathmatches, including in the now infamous 1995 King of the Deathmatch tournament. IWA Japan essentially bled money from the get go, however, and soon, Gannosuke found himself without a home fed. Thus, he returned to FMW, and went right after Hayabusa.
