Japanese Mafia, Yakuza helps Japan's nuclear reactors ? shin97.blog59.fc2.com A web site referring to Mr. Shojiro Watanabe was denied public access due to its contents. Mr. Watanabe's story was simple and it is not very much surprising to someone like me who knows a lot of what Japanese big corporations are all about. Mr. Watanabe said he received a credible, unidentified insider tipping on the nature of labor at perilous nuclear sites in Japan. The tipper said that Japanese mafia organizes recruiting homeless people and lease them on to dangerous work at nuclear sites all across Japan in agreement with the big Japanese electric power companies. Base on my understanding of Corporate Japan, this story is probably true. It is no crime to recruit homeless people. Say, in the Sates, poor people are active new drug test participants risking their lives to different degrees. But the process does not involve mafia. In Japan, it should be a big scandal because, first of all, of involvement of Yakuza, Japanese mafia. Also problematic are the suspicions that on-site laborers are not adequately informed of nuclear hazards and they are forced to work beyond fatal points which has allegedly led to many deaths in the past few decades. In addition, What Mr.Watanabe argued was that TEPCO (Tokyo Electric Power) and other electric power companies are rebating mafia and media. The media are paid "official" money for ads but the implied purpose was to shut up their criticism. I add to say in <b>...</b>
