Losing my mind on LSD (good trip gone bad)
As you can see in the video i took way too much acid. The trip started off great and i was having an awesome time, but then it takes a drastic turn for the worst. After the events in this video i spent the next 4 hours in the bathroom rocking back and forth telling myself it will be okay. I've done acid hundreds of times and tried to push my limits... bad idea.

Waiting for the Columbia River Bar
Alden and I are killing time, waiting for the Columbia River Bar to settle down. There are dangerous breakers over the Bar right now because it's maximum ebb, the time for the worst bar conditions. But the sea isn't bad out here, about 5 miles west of the bar, as we slowly sail west into a setting sun. Visibility is presently about 1/2 mile but will lower to 1/4 mile soon. In about two hours it'll be dark. From our position at that time we'll do an about-face to head back eastward toward the CR buoy. We want to time our crossing for the slack before flood, about 3 1/2 hours from now, ase we turn into the channel past the first buoy. We're under sail at the moment, but the engine is running to charge batteries. It's COLD out here even though it's Labor Day weekend, Sept 5, 2010. We've had a good trip. We departed Bremerton, had overnights in Port Townsend, Port Angeles, Neah Bay, La Push, and Westport. Later tonight we'll arrive in Astoria. Our broad reach down from Westport was idyllic sailing, with the knotmeter showing 6.5 to 7.2 knots for much of the way, sailing on main alone...that's why we're early for the bar crossing. Better to be three hours early than 10 minutes too late, which would cause a 12 hour wait for the next tide window. This is a Catalina 36 sailboat with an excellent Raymarine radar and a crew that is trained to use it properly. Note: We finally got into Astoria about 1130PM that night. We certainly earned a beer for our efforts that day, but Astoria <b>...</b>
