The demo was impressive, we loved the speeds, at a press event getting demo's to work during a press event is tough getting them to work a the speeds we saw is impressive. The first page that was loaded was news.google.com it loaded instantly. The reason they were able to pull this off is that they've built smarts into the browser. Becuase chrome is a full operating system it offers a level of precahing that isn't available on other browsers.

These speed tests were filmed at actual web page rendering times. If you're interested in the technical details, read on! Equipment used: - Computer: MacBook Pro laptop with Windows installed - Monitor - 24" Asus: We had to replace the standard fluorescent backlight with very large tungsten fixtures to funnel in more light to capture the screen. In addition, we flipped the monitor 180 degrees to eliminate a shadow from the driver board and set the system preferences on the computer to rotate 180 degrees. No special software was used in this process. - Camera: Phantom v640 High Speed Camera at 1920 x 1080, films up to 2700 fps "Why does allrecipes.com in the potato gun sequence appear at once, and not the text first and images second? And why does it appear to render from bottom of the screen to the top?" Chrome sends the rendered page to the video card buffer all at once, which is why allrecipes.com appears at once, and not with the text first and images second. Chrome actually paints the page from top to bottom, but to eliminate a shadow from the driver board, we had to flip the monitor upside down and set the system preferences in Windows to rotate everything 180 degrees, resulting in the page appearing to render from bottom to top. Chrome Browser Android Beta Tablet Test www.netbooknews.com Chrome has finally released its browser for Android and as you would expect, it works very similarly to the desktop version. So far this release is only for Android 4.0 devices, which sadly is around 1% of the market. Once you get into the details you'll find that there's an omnibox at the top of the screen where you enter URLs or search terms. However, Google has added some accelerated page browsing so that as you're entering a URL, it predicts what webpage you will choose and loads it in the background. By the time the URL is typed in, most, if not all, of the webpage is already loaded. It also predicts search terms, just as the desktop version does. You can also sync Chrome tabs and bookmarks from your desktop to your phone or tablet if you sign in with the same Chrome login on your desktop. And speaking of tabs, on a phone you can swipe left or right to switch tabs. On a tablet, open tabs fill the screen as they would on the desktop. We've decided to test it on our Transformer Prime as it the first Android 4.0 on the market and we ran the SunSpider Benchmark on the new Chrome Beta, Android, Dolphine HD, Opera and the native Android browser.

Is Adobe Flash contently crashing in Google Chrome? This is a problem myself and many others have faced and it's a problem that can get very frustrating. In this video I show a simple and easy to follow way of hopefully fixing this problem. I have notices this problem to occur mostly on Windows 7 machines. 1. Open Google chrome and in the address bar type, about:plugins, and hit enter 2. In the list look for Flash. If it says Flash(2 Files) this is almost certain to be the problem. 3. At the top right side, in the light blue bar you should see 'Details'. Click that to view the details of all the plug-ins 4. Again, look for the item labeled Flash. We need to disable the one that Google Chrome comes with. So, look for the one that has the file path of AppData and under it click Disable. I also measured the size of the interface of each browser as well as how usable each browser is.
