HTC Jetstream Review

PhoneArena reviews the HTC Jetstream. Following the same design footprint established by the HTC Flyer, the Jetstream looks and feels like a much bigger version of its 7-inch sibling, but it sports a silver and dark grey paint job that's not bad looking at all! For the most part, it exudes a decent amount of durability thanks to its brushed aluminum casing and soft touch patches in the rear, but strangely ... HTC Jetstream vs Apple iPad 2

PhoneArena presents a brief comparison of the HTC Jetstream and Apple iPad 2. The HTC Jetstream is flying in to make a name for itself as being AT&T's very first tablet to feature next-generation 4G LTE connectivity. Indeed that's a prevalent shining point for the Honeycomb flavored tablet, but when you look at its $849.99 no-contract price, it seems remarkably overpriced versus the comparable $730 32GB 3G-enabled version of the Apple iPad 2. There's no arguing that they're going to be the cream of the crop for moment on AT&T's lineup, but which one should you fork over your hard earned money into?... HTC Jetstream Unboxing

HTC Jetstream Unboxing TechnoBuffalo unboxes AT&T's first 4G LTE capable tablet, the premium priced HTC Jetstream. The Jetstream's price is a tough pill to swallow at $699.99 with a two-year contract; equally as hard on the wallet is its $850 price tag without contract. That's not to say, however, that this tablet doesn't come packed with some fantastic features: 1.5 GHz dual-core CPU, 10.1-inch display, 32GB of internal storage, Android 3.1 (Honeycomb) with HTC Sense 1.0 overlaid, 8-megapixel camera and a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera. The materials of the Jetstream is of the utmost quality. The 10.1-inch screen is very nice on the eyes and includes a very subtle but welcome lip on each side of the device when you hold it horizontally. But do the more than capable internals, 4G LTE on AT&T and premium build quality justify the high price? Are you excited for the HTC Jetstream? HTC Jetstream Review

HTC Jetstream Review In a fiercely competitive tablet market, price is one of the biggest factors consumers consider. Case in point: Kindle Fire. Following the device's announcement back in September, Amazon's newest Kindle member, priced at $199, has seen record pre-order numbers pile up, and it still hasn't been released. Granted, it does have Amazon's ecosystem behind it, but the $199 consumer-friendly price is a huge draw. So how does a company offering an Android tablet, similar to other Android tablets, stand out? For the 4G LTE enabled HTC Jetstream, the price is its biggest headline, but for all the wrong reasons. At its cheapest, the HTC Jetstream is offered at $699 with a two year contract and $849 without -- no, that is not a typo. That alone is enough to turn away consumers, and it's unfortunate because the wonderful build quality, HTC Sense UI and Scribe technology make it a solid device, albeit one that many probably won't get to experience because of its premium price. It's worth noting, too, that we did notice a slight lag during daily operation, even though the device is packing a 1.5GHz dual-core processor. With an LTE enabled Galaxy Tab 10.1 available at a much friendlier price, the Jetstream is a hard device to recommend. In any case, check out the video for the full review. tchno.be For more tech goodness, check us out at: www.technobuffalo.com Follow Us on Twitter www.twitter.com Like Us on Facebook: www.facebook.com Check Us Out on Google + tchno.be

HTC Jetstream review Hands on

On paper, the Jetstream talks a tough spec game, boasting a 10.1-inch WXGA display, dual-core 1.5GHz processor, 1GB RAM, 32GB of storage and an 8 megapixel rear shooter capable of 1080p video. Add to that list 4G LTE capability and you'd easily topple the Honeycomb competition in a side-by-side comparison. When put to real-world use, however, many of those much-touted internals, especially the LTE radio, could turn against the device, sucking down the beefy 7300mAh juice and leaving you with a handicapped mobile product. Use it heavily in one of AT&T's LTE coverage areas and you'll need to pull out the charger at day's end, but left to the operator's HSPA+ network and this go anywhere slate becomes a trusty and long-lasting mobile sidekick. Our gripes with the tablet's dull display and schizophrenic performance are mainly exacerbated by its $700 cost. At this high of a price, you'd expect greater pixel density and smoother performance to accompany the sleek and sturdy metal build. And with LTE-enabled versions of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Xoom offering improvements in both these areas, and coming in at cheaper price points on Verizon - $500 and $630, respectively -- it's hard to fathom signing on the dotted line with AT&T. That's not to say future software updates, namely those of the Ice Cream Sandwich variety, won't remedy the tablet's sporadic operating tics -- they most likely will. Really, it all comes down to a choice of network speed and battery life over display and <b>...</b>

ZL Daily #110 - HTC Jetstream/Puccini Release Date, PlayStation Vita Getting In Game Voice Chat...

Today more information was leaked about the HTC Puccini tablet which is now rumored to be called the HTC Jetstream at least on AT&T's LTE network. And relating to LTE this Jetstream tablet is supposed to arrive this fall in maybe September or October. That release is very soon and makes the LTE make less sense. That's because AT&T has said they won't have any LTE devices until the very end of this year. But I guess the iPhone 5 is rumored to have LTE so AT&T could possibly be making a few exceptions. Anyways a new screenshot of the tablet's OS suggests that the tablet will have a new skin on top of Android 3.0 Honeycomb. I think the skin looks good but we'll have to see how it actually performs and looks when it's complete this fall. The PlayStation Vita has already been announced and is supposed to arrive next year after being delayed. nyways we are still getting more and more information on features and the specs of the handheld gaming console. And today two new details about the handheld were uncovered. First off the amount of RAM that the handheld will use will be higher than the 256MB found in the PS3 making the Vita actually have 512MB of RAM which really isn't a whole lot but it should get the job done. Because it has more RAM it can take advantage of cross game voice chat which will be very nice. Articles used: gtmurl.com Blog: zlstudios.net Podcast zlstudios.net Twitter: twitter.com

HTC Jetstream Review & Specifications

When HTC entered the tablet game, it did so in reverse course. Where other manufacturers were jostling for elbow room in a 10-inch form factored world, the company opted for smaller, more familiar battleground, eschewing the rough-hewn Honeycomb OS for a Gingerbread-baked Sense overlay on the Flyer. Naturally, the time for that mini-slate to shine has come and gone. In its stead, we're treated to a flagship of sorts -- HTC's first 10-incher and AT&T's inaugural 4G LTE slate. Android 3.1 makes an appearance here, as does Sense 1.1 for tablets, but is the skinned experience really any different from the custom UX we've all come to love or hate on phones? Can the added Scribe pen functionality, repurposed here from its 7-inch brother, transform the Jetstream from third pillar offering to an always-on, on-the-go assistant? And will those newly hatched 700MHz speeds convince you to cough up for that weighty $700 price tag? Follow along past the break to see how it fared. When you buy into HTC, you're pretty much guaranteed a quality build. So, it should come as no surprise that the company's given its all to the design of this LTE-enabled piece of kit. And for good reason, too. Unlike its even-footed Android competitors, the Jetstream's saddled with an outsized $850 price tag to complement its premium build -- a cost that only sees a minor reduction to $700 with the addition of a two-year contract. Above all else, the first thing you'll notice when you lift the Jetstream out <b>...</b>
