HTC Rezound Review

HTC Rezound Review When we got our hands-on the HTC Rezound earlier this month, we came away thoroughly impressed. It's packed with a quick 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, Verizon's 4G LTE and an absolutely stunning 4.3-inch 720p display that gives the Retina variety on the iPhone a run for its money. Two weeks on, and we're happy to report that our opinion of the Rezound hasn't changed in the least. In fact, the device is still surprising us with its quality. While the HTC Rezound isn't the thinnest phone around (13.7mm), it's still a very attractive device. Just as we said during our hands-on, the black and red combo gives the phone a sleek and premium look, and the build materials are top quality. You won't get any of that cheap plastic feel here. With phones like the Droid Razr, Galaxy Nexus and Galaxy S II no doubt taking the majority of the spot light this holiday season, the Rezound may unfortunately be a device that goes unnoticed by the masses. For audiophiles, the Rezound is definitely a device to take notice of. Consumers will have some big decisions to make with so many high quality Android phones hitting the market. The HTC Rezound is currently available on Verizon Wireless for $299.99 with two-year contract. HTC Rezound Review Part 1

Is your cell phone dirty? pdog.ws Verizon's going at it with the 4G LTE Android phones! Aaron reviews the HTC Rezound, the second high-end device in Verizon's holiday lineup. Featuring Beats by Dr. Dre technology, the Rezound packs a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, 4.3-inch true HD 720p display, 8-megapixel camera with 1080p HD video recording, front-facing camera, 1620 mAh battery, and Android 2.3.5 with HTC's Sense 3.5. It's available now for $299.99. It launches just after the Motorola DROID RAZR, and right before the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Does the Rezound distinguish itself with Beats, or is it worth looking in another direction? We'll figure it out. Part 1 of 2. HTC Rezound Unboxing & Hands On

HTC Rezound Unboxing We've already seen the HTC Rezound in action, and the Beats Audio integrated device was music to our ears. Now we're getting a more intimate look at the burly phone, and you know what? We still think it's a device that will turn more than a few heads. The HTC Rezound packs a punch with its snappy 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM and Verizon's fast 4G LTE network. So far in our limited use the snappy internals make for a buttery smooth Android 2.3.4 (Gingerbread) experience. In just a short while Gingerbread will become old hat, though, as the Rezound is shipping Ice Cream Sandwich ready, so users can look forward to that sometime early next year. HTC Sense 3.5 looks beautiful on the device's 4.3-inch 720p display. Yesterday we got our hands on the HTC Sensation XL (which had a 4.7-inch screen), and we absolutely loved the screen, but the Rezound looks to be a good middle ground. You can't tell by just looking at it, but the Rezound is heavy. However, that's not such a bad thing because the soft touch materials feel solid, and the textured back is nice when holding the device one handed. The black and red combo gives the phone a premium, sleek look as well that will evoke past HTC designs. Audiophiles looking for a Beats by Dre experience will be pleased to know that the Rezound packs Beats audio support along with some Beats earbuds for the full experience. Like we said in our Sensation XL hands-on, the audio integration is a nice addition that ...

HTC Rezound Review

PhoneArena reviews the HTC Rezound. HTC has been one of the more profound vigilant figures in the mobile industry that always has a knack in producing quality smartphones. When it comes to the Android landscape, they were there right from the beginning showing their commitment in tastefully complementing Google's mobile platform with something as equally compelling on the hardware side. With memorable devices like the T-Mobile G1, Nexus One, and HTC EVO 4G under its belt, all eyes are on them to see what they can do to continue that trend in the face of never-ending competition... HTC Rezound Review Part 2

Do you use Google Music? pdog.ws It's review time! Aaron takes a look at the HTC Rezound, Verizon's newest 4G LTE Android device and the second of three anticipated high-end smartphones for this year. The Rezound offers a 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon CPU, 4.3-inch true HD 720p display, 8-megapixel camera with 1080p recording capabilities, a front-facing shooter, 1620 mAh battery, Beats by Dr. Dre integration, and Android 2.3.5 with HTC Sense 3.5. It's available now at Verizon for $299.99. The Rezound is packed with features, but it goes up against the Motorola DROID RAZR (and soon, the Galaxy Nexus as well). HTC Rezound (Verizon) unboxing and video review

MobileBurn.com - The HTC Rezound is the first smartphone from HTC with Beats Audio integration to come to the US This means it has special audio processing technology, and comes with signature iBeats headphones in the box. In addition to Beats Audio, the Rezound is the first smartphone with a 720p (1280 x 720 pixel) display in the US and the first from HTC for any market. It is powered by a 1.5GHz, dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with 1GB of RAM, and comes with 16GB of internal storage and a 16GB microSD card pre-installed. It is a thick and heavy smartphone by today's standards, as it measures 13.65mm thick and weighs 165g. The tapered back aids handling, but there is no hiding the fact that the Rezound is a large phone. Running Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread, the Rezound has HTC's Sense 3.5 interface. HTC says that an upgrade to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich will be coming in early 2012. The Rezound will be available on November 14 for $299 with a new two-year agreement. www,wirefly.com The HTC Rezound 4G for Verizon pushes back the smartphone boundries in a couple of ways: It is the first phone to come with a display that has the resolution of 720x1280 pixels, and it is the first phone to include iBeats headphones in the package. On top of that, it has a steaming-fast 1.5GHz dual-core processor, Verizon's speedy LTE 4G network, as well as a host of other features to make it an audio and video powerhouse. HTC Rezound Review & Specifications

The Motorola RAZR and Samsung Galaxy Nexus seem to be the two Verizon LTE juggernauts enjoying the lion's share of the spotlight, with the HTC Rezound's sandwiched smack dab between the two of them. But that doesn't mean the device has any less to offer -- you might even say it's entitled to some bragging rights. It's not the thinnest phone, nor does it have Ice Cream Sandwich (yet), but being the first carrier-branded handset in the US boasting a 720p HD display should carry a lot of weight. The Rezound -- as you might have gathered from the name -- is also the first HTC gizmo in the States to integrate Beats Audio. Make no mistake: the HTC Rezound is brimming with goodies. A quick glance at the spec sheet makes this perfectly clear, since the phone offers a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8660 CPU, Adreno 220 GPU, 1GB of RAM, an 8MP rear camera with 1080p video capture and a 2MP front-facing cam, 16GB of internal storage (10 of which are user-accessible) and an included 16GB microSD card. Last and definitely not least, it's the first carrier-branded phone in the US with a 720p HD display and integrated Beats Audio -- in fact, it comes with a pair of $100 iBeats included in the box (the irony of the name of the headphones isn't lost on us). To sum up, It ain't your run-of-the-mill HTC phone. With the majority of attention pointed directly at the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Nexus, it's easy for any other high-end smartphone to get lost in the fanfare. The HTC Rezound is a victim ...

To view the full Pocketnow article: bit.ly In this video we go through the main software included on the HTC Rezound for Verizon. The HTC Rezound ships with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, but will probably get Android 4 ICS in an update next year. Alongside Gingerbread, HTC has also integrated the Sense 3.5 user interface. With HTC Sense 3.5 come a few widgets that help to unify status updates to social networks, get important information about finances or news, and change settings from the Rezound's seven home-screens quickly. Some other apps that come standard on Android 2.3 have been re-skinned to form a cohesive look to keep them matching the other Sense alterations.

HTC Rezound vs. Motorola DROID RAZR Dogfight Part 1

Grab these phones for a penny! pdog.ws Dogfight battle time between two hot 4G LTE phones! Aaron throws two Verizon superphones - the HTC Rezound and the Motorola DROID RAZR - into the ring for a head to head battle. The Rezound packs a 1.5 GHz dual-core CPU, 4.3-inch true HD (720p) display, 8-megapixel camera with 1080p HD video recording, a camera around front, 1620 mAh battery, Beats by Dr. Dre technology, and Android 2.3.4 with HTC Sense 3.5. The DROID RAZR rocks a 1.2 GHz dual-core CPU, 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Advanced display with PenTile technology, 8-megapixel camera with 1080p recording, a front-facing camera, 1780 mAh battery, and Android 2.3.5 with Motorola's UI. On top of that, it has Gorilla Glass on the front, and a KEVLAR coating on the back. They're both hot phones (as always), but only one can be the champion in a PhoneDog dogfight. Will the Beats and awesome display push the Rezound ahead, or will the size and speed of the DROID RAZR make it the winner? We'll find out. Part 1 of 2. HTC Rezound hands on and complete review

As expected, the HTC made the Rezound official at today's event in New York. Also, as expected, this is one multimedia-centric phone we're looking at here, starting with its big and bright 4.3-inch 720p Super LCD display. Despite its decently large screen size, the phone is surprisingly light and feels nice in the hand. Unlike Motorola and Samsung, however, the company wasn't all that focused on thinness with the Rezound, and the thing rocks a slightly convex back -- not unlike the HTC Vivid on AT&T, which has a prominent hump on the back cover. However you slice it, though, it's a great looking phone. The company clearly put some though into the appearance of the device, with its textured back featuring red accents -- a clear reference to the company's partnership with Beats. If you read our review of the Sensation XE, you know HTC's design philosophy didn't change much in its journey across the Atlantic. Unfortunately, the company wasn't showing off those custom Beats earbuds for our demo, and we had to settle for an over-ear pair -- naturally, we rocked a little Dre on the thing. As you'd expect, the sound is extremely bass-heavy. You can thank Beats for that, no doubt. Interestingly, HTC apparently didn't devote all that much time to the volume buttons on the side of the device, which aren't quite as responsive as we'd like. The music continues to play, even as you launch other apps, which can be bit a distracting when you're trying to stream a video using the phone's ...

HTC Rezound or Motorola DROID RAZR? pdog.ws You can't stop the Beats! Verizon's launching the HTC Rezound, the first Beats by Dr. Dre handset to land in the United States. Rezound will be available on November 14th for $299.99, and offers a 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, 4.3-inch 720p HD (Super LCD) display, 8-megapixel camera with 1080p HD video recording, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, 1620 mAh battery, 4G LTE connectivity, and Android 2.3.4 with HTC Sense 3.5. It's another high-end 4G device on Verizon and comes with a great pair of Beats earbuds, but it packs a small battery and faces competition from the Motorola DROID RAZR and Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Review & Specifications: HTC Rezound LTE 4G

Verizon HTC Rezound w. Beats Audio Unboxing and First Impressions

Link: www.smartkeitai.com In the video above, we unbox the HTC Rezound Android smartphone for Verizon Wireless. It's the first smartphone with a 720p HD display (came out before Samsung Galaxy Nexus) and also first in the US with Beats Audio technology. To accompany those features, you'll also find that it has a powerful 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, an 8 megapixel rear camera (1080p video capture), 2 megapixel front-facing camera, and it supports Verizon's lightning-fast 4G LTE network. Unlike most smartphone packaging, which are usually lacking in accessories, the Rezound comes with a pair of iBeats headphones to take advantage of the integrated Beats Audio technology. The Rezound runs Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread out of the box, but an update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is coming in early 2012. Purchase the Rezound with a two year contract for $299.99 or $649.99 without. HTC Rezound 1080p HD Video Sample

Check out the unboxing! pdog.ws Aaron puts the HTC Rezound's 1080p HD camcorder to the test in uptown Charlotte. The video quality was decent with little to no blur, though the sound quality could use some work, as the noise cancellation wasn't that great. That said, the overall sound quality appeared to be a bit better than on other high-end HTC devices (most recently, the HTC Vivid). Shot at 2:28 PM on November 11, 2011.
