The HX1 is a low-slung MPV/crossover that seats 6 and measures 4.954 m long, 1.990 m wide, and with a height of just 1.373 m. Using Peugeot's HYbrid4 technology, the HX1 is an all-wheel drive diesel-electric with a 2.2 liter HDi unit with 150 kW (204 PS / 201 bhp) powering the front-axle while a 70 kW (95 PS / 95 bhp) electric motor drives the rear wheels. Combined output is 220 kW (299 PS / 295 bhp). The plug-in HX1 can travel up to 30 km (18.6 miles) in all-electric mode and features a fuel-economy rating of 3.2 liters/100 km (88 mpg UK / 73.5 mpg US) with CO2 emissions of 83 g/km. But Peugeot doesn't want to make this yet another boring hybrid concept. The HX1 comes with embedded rear spoiler and side skirts on the tailgate which deploy at speeds over 100 km/h (62 mph) and the car's design also gives it a Cd quotient of 0.28 - making it a pretty aerodynamically advanced vehicle for a 6-seater. The HX1 will make its public debut at the Frankfurt motor show September 13, 2011.

In this video, I will show you how to make your own filter adapter ring for the Sony HX1 camera. This project requires some custom work but it's also very cheap to make. You will need a 55-58mm step up ring. You can find one on Ebay at around $2 USD. I also purchased a 58mm UV filter to put on the adapter ring. This filter I also purchased on Ebay for $2. The custom part of the project is to glue a thin piece of rubber to the inside of the step up ring. This serves 2 purpose. One is to fill in the gap and the other is to allow the step up ring to fit snug to the Sony lens. With the rubber piece I used, I was able to use sand paper to sand it down to the correct diameter.

This is me back in 1993 playing my re-arrangement of Claude Dupras' version of the theme to "Back to the Future" by Alan Silvestri -- performed on the Yamaha HX1 Electone at the 1993 Yamaha Electone Festival National Finals, Young People's Theatre in Toronto, Ontario.
