Nina Hagen - 1985 Ekstasy Drive - Rock in Rio 1985

Nina Hagen having her minutes of fame in Brazil. Nowadays, nobody in Brazil would even remember what Nina Hagen is. A European tour with a new band in 1980 was cancelled, and Nina turned to the New World. A limited-edition US album was released on vinyl that summer: one side contained two English-language songs, and the B side was two tracks from Unbehagen. In the fall of 1980, Hagen discovered she was pregnant, broke up with the father-to-be, and moved to Los Angeles. Her daughter, Cosma Shiva Hagen, was born in Santa Monica on May 17, 1981. In 1982, Hagen released her first solo album NunSexMonkRock, a dissonant mix of punk, funk, reggae, and opera, and went on a world tour with the No Problem Orchestra. In 1983 came the album Angstlos and a minor European tour. By this time, Hagen's public appearances were becoming stranger and frequently included discussions of God, UFOs, her social and political beliefs, animal rights and vivisection and claims of alien sightings. The English version of Angstlos, Fearless, generated two major club hits in America , Zarah (a cover of the Zarah Leander song Ich weiss, es wird einmal ein Wunder geschehen) and the disco/punk/opera classic, New York New York. 1985's Nina Hagen In Ekstasy fared less well, but did generate club hits with "Universal Radio" and a cover of "Spirit In The Sky" and also featured a 1979 recording of her hardcore punk take on Frank Sinatra's My Way, which had been one of her signature live tunes in previous years <b>...</b>

*FORYOUR LISTENING ENJOYMENT ONLY* What is the openVAULT you ask? It's quite simple. Music that for lack of a better analogy, has been locked away from the general public. What has happened to the musical landscape is sickening. Far too many artists go largely unnoticed. We are here to change that. To drive the point home, this will not be some "best of" list aka Rolling Stone. No "Stairway", no "Walrus", just music that should be heard. Here at openVAULT you're going to be forced off the beaten path more often than not. It'll be good for you, trust us. Every song you will hear is from our private collection, so please NO copying, downloading or reproducing these videos in any form for this is strictly prohibited. You know as in illegal, a no-no. As stated before these tunes are FOR YOUR LISTENING ENJOYMENT ONLY! We won't sell, trade, or give up any mp3s, so if you're here for that purpose please step aside, you're blocking the view of others.

Hagen Quartet - Maurice Ravel - String Quartet in F - Assez vif, Très rythmé (2/4)

The second movement of 28 year-old Ravel's Quatuor à Cordes. He is said to have been meticulous in his writing, and, finally, a group of musicians have matched his efforts in terms of attention. This is, in my opinion, the best performance and recording of this piece. The second movement is possibly the most known, as audiences remember the pizzicato opening; its usage in media, such as for the film "The Royal Tenenbaums" (W. Anderson) and as trailer music for films such as "Be Kind Rewind" (M. Gondry) also furthers its memorability. Assez vif introduces two new melodies; a rhythmic melody and a contrasting "sung" melody, which is both graceful and heroic. It is as though these are character motifs. Hagen Quartet - Maurice Ravel - String Quartet in F - Allegro moderato, Très doux (1/4)

The first movement of 28 year-old Ravel's Quatuor à Cordes. He is said to have been meticulous in his writing, and, finally, a group of musicians have matched his efforts in terms of attention. This is, in my opinion, the best performance and recording of this piece. Allegro moderato introduces the main theme to be repeated in movements III and IV. The atmosphere developed is one of warmth and a contrasting vastness. The last 30 seconds always gave me the impression of falling asleep, once again surrounded by warmth. Ron Hagen & Al-Exander - Now Is The Time (Original Mix)

Listen on Spotify: bit.ly Download on iTunes: bit.ly Download on Beatport: bit.ly The brothers Hagen are back. Ron Hagen & Al Exander had the honour of opening disc 2 of Armin van Buuren's 'A State of Trance 2011' compilation. After months of waiting, now is the time for the full release on Armind Recordings. Here's 'Now Is The Time'. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. For more than 15 years, Dutchman Ron Hagen has been breathing music as one half of the legendary Signum duo. He's seen it all, from artist album to compilation and thick remixes to strong solo productions. But the spark of music also lit a fire into the heart of his little brother, Vincent Alexander Hagen. With the perfect tutor right next to him, Al Exander developed a sound of his own. It wouldn't take long before the first collaboration was a fact. After last year's success of 'Last Minute', they kick in even harder. The clocks stop ticking and all else fades to the background, as 'Now Is The Time' hits in. It starts off gentle, building with a deep bass. But soon enough, you'll be taken by a dark, majestic melody, an mysterious drive and a real outburst of energy after the break. On the remix, you'll find a tougher, even stronger version of this beat-beauty. It's got all the necessities to make a club explode. Nina Hagen & Adamski - Get Your Body - Extended Version Video Dub

I love the longer versions of this song, and seeing that the only video clip I could find was for the shorter original edit, I thought I'd see if I could create a longer video to accompany one of the extended versions I had. using the scenes from the shorter one...Here's what I came up with--hope that for others who love this song , the repeated imagery won't be overly obvious. .

Geil. Boah. Krass ey. Dankeschön." Jetzt war Hagen mal <b>...</b>
