Dan Lacey ended up taking the win in the best trick comp with an icepick grind to barspin after putting in some serious work and taking hard slam after hard slam! Everyone in attendance blew up when he rolled away as Dan was fresh off an injury and was not sure if he could ride the comp. Another one of the troops fresh off of the injured list was Alex Coleborn. Nothing was stopping him though as he took 1st place with heavy moves all day long and didn't look like he had been off of his bike for one minute let alone most of the winter!

A total BMX Fail in 1997. We had built some dirt jumps in a local housing track. I met a guy who said he could BMX and take the step up jump easily. There were a few kids there who could do the dirt jump and not fail.They easily did it before this guy. This guy rides his BMX and cases the jump. He did not get enough speed to clear this jump. This guy breaks face while snapping his BMX bike in half. The frame of the bike snapped in two pieces. He smacked his face hard on the dirt. He claimed to have spent around $900 for his BMX bike.. it's a shame he broke his bike and smashed in two pieces. This was a great bike crash, i had to share. The best BMX riders from all over the world were killing/shredding Eindhoven The history of BMX evolved at the VANSrebeljam in Eindhoven, NL over the course of the first weekend in December. One hundred sixty of the world's best riders made the journey to Eindhoven from the US, Japan and throughout Europe. Heavy hitters like Ty Morrow, Matthias Dandois, Corey Martinez, Ben Hennon, Mark Webb, Bruno Hoffman, Dan Lacey and many more showed up to participate in the event that brings unfiltered BMX riding to Europe. The format of VANSrebeljam is unique in the contest world. Judges scored riders in 3 categories: Hardest Trick, Creativity and Style. The real winner of the event though, was the progression of BMX. Even with €20.000 in prize money on the line in the park, street and flat disciplines, the riders didn't ride against each other, the riders rode with each other. Innovation was the motivation and new tricks included Corey Martinez' Opposite Upledge Feeble to 180 Tailwhip and Mark Webbs Whip to Footajm to Downside Whip back in. The jam style park finals reached its climax when Daniel Sandoval dropped in after his heat was finished and pulled the trick of the day, a 720 Tailwhip to Barspin. The crowd was cheering for the riders the whole weekend. Each day the Kolkgebow hall was packed with nearly 2000 visitors who were joined by tens of thousands more who tuned in to the Big Air TV live webcast. Recently the official opening of the 040 BMX PARK in Eindhoven, Netherlands. A few pre-sessions had taken place prior to the opening day but from now on the park has regular opening hours and is open to everyone. Pegs allowed. The crew has worked hard and built a new indoor park with the help of the ramps they got donated by the Vans Rebeljam fuelled by Monster Energy. The separate room on the side and the to be finished bowl are two nice extra's for those who make the trip to Strijp-S area in Eindhoven. Before you start this 1...I recomend you be very comfortable doing a peg manual. This trick is hard and has previous trick REQUIREMENTS, meaning you must know how to do certain tricks befor you can learn this. Tricks u must know: -Peg manual Tricks you SHOULD know or have feel for: -Time machine -Gerator (what im doing wen i scuff tire) -Caboose (just rolling) il get that in bit. Start off one of two ways, ride normaly and lift into peg manual and 180 bars so there backwards, OR start with them in backwards postition as I did. reason i started baclwards is cuz wen u roll and peg manual then 180 wen your hand goes to grab the tire, the tire is rolling in direction that sucks hand into forks and it could get messy, wen u have bars already backwards it goes away from forks... So now ur peg manualing and you got ( this is way i do it u can do oposite side just everything will b opposite.) as you peg manual right hand is off bars only left hand is on left side bars (which would b the right side grip (ware back breaks are) and then take your right hand and grab the tire and as you do this you use the hand that is no the bars to tuen bars in position thats like the bar ends are facing almost sky and floor type angle, so that you can pass more easiar to get under the bike so to say, then you take your right foot which is already waving around in air for balance and u take it and go from side the bike and place it on right peg, but UNDER bike,and as your doing this ur hand thats <b>...</b>
