"Henson's music will change your life if you let it" is a pretty strong quote but its one of many that try and describe Keaton Henson's beguiling music. "One of the most compelling singer-songwriters we've heard in ages...'Dear...(album)' is remarkable" Sunday Times, "Beautiful and uncompromising" Q and the picture gets a little clearer but as Keaton himself never does interviews and rarely even performs live he is a difficult artist to get to know. Originally an illustrator and visual artist, Keaton's move into well known musician was not intended, that was until radio's tastemakers decided he was the real deal and Fearne Cotton, Zane Lowe, Jo Whiley, and Lauren Laverne have been spinning Keaton's recent singles regularly. Its not hard to understand why either as one listen to his Crypt Session and you will be falling for his brittle charms. All this mystery has created a feverish following as fans of the elusive Keaton strive to find out more and Facebook groups and Tumblr sites have sprung up, all either pretending to be him or for fans to obsess. We think he is amazing and have filmed three intimate sessions to share with you and for you to share with your friends. Specifically, it was made for an elite seminar given for business owners, on the then-brand-new topic — Data Communications. The seminar itself involved a lot of films and multimedia presentations, and took place in Chicago. A lengthy description of the planning of the Bell Data Communications Seminar — sans a mention of the Henson involvement — is on the blog of Inpro co-founder Jack Byrne. It later was renamed the Bell Business Communications Seminar. The organizers of the seminar, Inpro, actually set the tone for the film in a three-page memo from one of Inpro's principals, Ted Mills to Henson. Mills outlined the nascent, but growing relationship between man and machine: a relationship not without tension and resentment: "He [the robot] is sure that All Men Basically Want to Play Golf, and not run businesses — if he can do it better." (Mills also later designed the ride for the Bell System at the 1964 World's Fair.) Henson's execution is not only true to Mills' vision, but he also puts his own unique, irreverent spin on the material. The robot narrator used in this film had previously starred in a skit for a food fair in Germany (video is silent), in 1961. It also may be the same robot that appeared on the Mike Douglas Show in 1966. Henson created a different — but similar — robot for the SKF Industries pavilion at the 1964 World's Fair. Watching this, I've never laughed and cried so hard in my life. This video is not yet on Youtube (That I can find). So I'm uploading it in hopes that sharing this, more people can see just how special Jim and Frank's relationship was. The New York memorial was held at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine on May 21, 1990, just five days after Henson's death. (Less than two years later, the same cathedral would host the memorial for Richard Hunt.)

For about seven weeks during the months of January and February, 1968, this was the #1 Country song in the nation, and it crossed over to the pop charts in a big way. This was Jim Henson's final performance as Kermit the Frog on may 4th 1990. Two weeks later Henson would die from a severe streptococcal infection. This show also marked the first public appearance of Electric Mayhem member, the Muppet known as Clifford, voiced by Kevin Clash. Clash, probably best known as the voice of Elmo on Sesame Street is the subject of "Being Elmo: A Puppeteer's Journey." The film won the Special Jury Prize award at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival. At the end of the interview you can see Kevin Clash seated next to Jim.
