Filter - Hey man nice shot with lyrics Released - July 18th, 1995 Length - 5:18 Genre - Alternative metal/Industrial rock The song, at first, was thought to be about Kurt Cobain who committed suicide in April 1994 but was later proven to be written about the January 22, 1987, public suicide of Pennsylvania state treasurer R. Budd Dwyer. Dwyer had been convicted on bribery charges in December 1986, and was expected to receive a massive sentence from US District Court judge Malcolm Muir. Professing his innocence and decrying the legal system, Dwyer shot himself during a press conference with a .357 Magnum. A May 1996 interview with Filter in Addicted to Noise magazine and an official statement by the band confirmed this interpretation. Filter later gave the following statement: The song 'Hey Man, Nice Shot' is a reaction to a well-documented public suicide, where the guy CLEARLY planted the gun in a manila envelope. This is another good episode of OTR that I didn't see on Youtube. Talking to Michael Landsberg this time is the evil genius himself, ECW founder Paul Heyman. This interview was conducted in 2002, not long after Stone Cold walked out on the company (he would eventually return at No Way Out in 2003). In this part of the interview Paul discusses the reasons for Austin's departure and whether Stone Cold was misused by WWE. He also discusses The Rock and why he is getting a tough time from fans (this was around the time the fans started booing The Rock which would eventually lead to his heel turn into Hollywood Rock in 2003). It's an interesting insight into Heyman's views on two of wrestling's biggest icons - Austin and Rock. Enjoy.

They say Triple H will require surgery but continues to do his job for WWE. Triple H will speak next week live on RAW. They say Lesnar was invited to RAW tonight but declined the offer. Instead, he sent his legal representation. Lesnar's music hits and out comes Paul Heyman! Heyman introduces himself and says he is here to represent Brock Lesnar. Heyman puts over Lesnar and says he has been put down by the WWE audience since day one. WWE says that same thing goes for management. Heyman goes on and says Lesnar feels betrayed by the WWE Universe and he should not have to feel that way because he is the only man in history to hold the NCAA Division 1 Title, the Undisputed WWE Title and the Undisputed UFC Heavyweight Title. Heyman says Lesnar is an honest man. He told us he would be an ass kicking machine and he is. Heyman says Lesnar asked him to come here tonight and read his statement. The statement says Lesnar came back to bring legitimacy to WWE and in return he got the same politics that caused him to leave years ago. He has no regrets for hurting Cena and Triple H. He runs down Triple H in the statement. Lesnar doesn't care about Triple H, the people or WWE's corporate suits. Lesnar says he is never coming back because he quits. The crowd cheers. Heyman drops the mic and leaves the ring.
