Muse - Hoodoo

Muse ♥ Lyrics: Come into my life Regress into a dream We will hide Build a new reality Draw another picture Of the life you could've had Follow your instincts And choose the other path You should never be afraid You're protected from trouble and pain Why, why Is this a crisis in your eyes again Come to be How did it come to be Tied to a railroad No love to set us free Watch our souls fade away Let our bodies crumbling Don't be afraid I will take the blow for you And I've had recurring nightmares That I was loved for who I am And missed the opportunity To be a better man

Memphis Minnie - Hoodoo Lady Blues

Lyrics: Hoodoo Lady, how do you do? They tell me you take a boot and turn it to a brand new shoe But don't put that thing on me Don't put that thing on me Don't put that thing on me 'Cause I'm going back to Tennessee Hoodoo Lady, you can turn water to wine I been wondering where have you been all this time I'm setting here, broke, and I ain't got a dime You ought to put something in these dukes of mine But don't put that thing on me Don't put that thing on me Don't put that thing on me 'Cause I'm going back to Tennessee Spoken: Boy, you better watch it 'cause she's tricky. Hoodoo Lady, I want you to unlock my door So I can get in and get all my clothes But don't put that thing on me Don't put that thing on me Don't put that thing on me 'Cause I'm going back to Tennessee Now, look-a here, Hoodoo Lady, I want you to treat me right Bring my man back home but don't let him stay all night And don't put that thing on me Don't put that thing on me Don't put that thing on me 'Cause I'm going back to Tennessee Spoken: Boy, she's tricky as she can be. Better watch her, too. Why, look-a here, Hoodoo Lady, I'm your friend When you leave this time, come back again But don't put that thing on me Don't put that thing on me Don't put that thing on me 'Cause I'm going back to Tennessee Spoken: Boys, I'm scared of her!

Junior Wells - Hoodoo Man Blues.wmv

He was one bad dude, strutting across the stage like a harp-toting gangster, mesmerizing the crowd with his tough-guy antics and rib-sticking Chicago blues attack. Amazingly, Junior Wells kept at precisely this sort of thing for over 40 years -- he was an active performer from the dawn of the 1950s to his death in the late '90s. Born in Memphis, Wells learned his earliest harp licks from another future legend, Little Junior Parker, before he came to Chicago at age 12. In 1950, the teenager passed an impromptu audition for guitarists Louis and David Myers at a house party on the South side, and the Deuces were born. When drummer Fred Below came aboard, they changed their name to the Aces. Little Walter left Muddy Waters in 1952 (in the wake of his hit instrumental, "Juke"), and Wells jumped ship to take his place with Waters. That didn't stop the Aces (who joined forces with Little Walter) from backing Wells on his initial sessions for States Records, though -- his debut date produced some seminal Chicago blues efforts, including his first reading of "Hoodoo Man," a rollicking "Cut That Out," and the blazing instrumentals "Eagle Rock" and "Junior's Wail." More fireworks ensued the next year when he encored for States with a mournful "So All Alone" and the jumping "Lawdy! Lawdy!" (Muddy Waters moonlighted on guitar for the session). Already Wells was exhibiting his tempestuous side -- he was allegedly AWOL from the Army at the time. In 1957, Wells hooked up with producer ...

It's Too Slow - Hoodoo Gurus

A great song from this great australian band. Lyric: Well I have to wonder about the stars I'm under how they wont make up their minds and if this aint dreaming then I might run screaming to the nearest compromise there's one thing I knoiw it's too slow don't I know and if I dont get there don't you say I told you so (I told you so) There's a frank admission under no position to be telling you all your crimes but if I must blame someone for what's been left undone then I might find I'm first in line theres one thing I know It's too slow (It's too slow) and don't I know (don't I know) if I dont get there don't you say I told you so (I told you so) It's too slow (It's too slow) don't I know (don't I Know) if I don't get there don't you say I told you so (I told you so) I don't want to hear it cause I can't keep a secret I'll let the whole world know But at least I'm moving things might start improving or else I might learn to improvise but if it makes some difference I will go the distance even though I don't win the prize theres one thing I know it's too slow (it's too slow) and don't I know don't I know and if I don't get there don't say I told you so (I told you so) It's too slow (It's too slow) don't I know and if I dont get there don't you say that no I don't want to know no no no but there you go! there you go it's too slow it's too slow to too sloww too slowww

Dazzle Agility Trial - Hoodoo Howlers, April '07

This is Dazzle in her 4th agility trial (NADAC). This was a VERY fun trial. It was the first one that we actually had to travel to (we live on the west side, it was on the east side of Washington). It was a good 4.5 - 5 hour drive, but a scenic one. We took all three dogs and stayed at a hotel. The trial (NADAC) was put on by the Hoodoo Howlers agility club. It was much smaller than the other trials I have been to, only one ring and about 60 dogs or so. Descriptions of the runs: The first run - tunnelers. Daz loves tunnelers. She was a bit crazy from being in the car all day yesterday, and in a strange place last night, so her turns were WAY wide but still, a Q and a 1st place! Notice that I trip on a tunnel at the end, but we managed to finish the course clean and in good time. Next run, Touch n Go! Dazzle LOVES TnG - but a little to much. She doesn't have a high Q rate in this class at all. But on this run she was very calm and really listening to my commands. I was proud! Another Q and another 1st place! After that (not in the video) was another touch n go, but she missed the tunnel/dogwalk discrimination (she screwed that up) and got an NQ on that one. I took that chance to train in the ring and fix some contacts - which then improved for the rest of the trial. Then the two regular runs! Simple courses. We did the first one OK, but with a little bobble - but we recovered and finished clean with a 1st place. The second regular she did better, very smooth and clean ...
