The story of Hoover Dam

Explains the overwhelming need to control and regulate the raging waters of the Colorado River; the 1928 passage of the Boulder Canyon Project authorizing construction of the Hoover Dam; the ensuing construction of diversion tunnels and then the dam itself; building of support facilities, such as a steel fabrication plant for giant pipe construction; and creation of hydroelectric operations that provided electricity to California, Nevada, and Arizona. Notice Bob had a habit of shutting off the engines in the Skrike AND in the SabreLiner to demonstrate his mastery of energy management. There is another video, called, "Stopped Engine Aerobatics" available on youtube by another producer showing Bob pour himself a glass of Ice Tea...while perfroming a barrel roll, with an airplane full of Generals. I have met Bob many times and he was a friend and aviation associate of my fathers, you wont find a nicer man to spend a few minutes talking with. I used to talk with him a lot when I worked at LAX and he flew out of the hanger next door which was Rockwells hanger. Bob Hoover, truly one of the aviation greats of our time. The great Bob Hoover flies the North American F-100 Super Sabre in its flight test program. The SuperSabre was the first jet capable of Mach 1 speeds in level flight. Bob Hoover crashed in an F-100 due to hydraulic failure and received a broken back in the crash. When he got out of the hospital he climbed in another F-100 and completed his part of the flight test.
