Apple iAd: Demo In this video, I demo Apple iAds. Apple iAd is Apple's new mobile advertising platform that was announced at WWDC 2010 earlier this year by Steve Jobs. The point of iAd is very simple - Steve Jobs stated how mobile advertising currently sucks, and iAd's focus is to bring quality ads to Apple's mobile devices. A neat feature about Apple iAds is when you click on one, you're able to access the ad without leaving your application or going to Safari. There's going to be some really different ads for iAd that I think will make an impact on mobile advertising because before, ads were just simple pictures you could click on and go to a website. iAds can include interactive parts, videos, audio, and more like shown in the demo. ~~~ If you want to try out iAd yourself and don't have any apps with iAds in them yet, you can try out Tiptitude: itunes.apple.com

Welcome aboard American Airlines flight 149 bound for Los Angeles International Airport! Departure time: 8.15AM (actual: 8:06am) Arrival time: 11.10AM (actual: 10:25am) This flight is operated on a Boeing 737-800. Flight duration: 6 hours 0 minutes (actual: 5 hours and 9 minutes) [The captain mentioned that we had a rare case of less winds or something like that and it would help us get to Los Angeles much faster then what was anticipated.] What luck, the days before when we were sightseeing Virginia, Maryland, and Washington DC it was cloudy, cold, misty, foggy, and we had light rain during some parts of the day. And the day we leave, clear skies. AA has greatly improved and I think that this airline is definitely one I would fly with again. Great service, nice and friendly flight attendants, and very good condition of aircraft. My flight to IAD was a red-eye (American Airlines flight AA 74) and the flight was mostly dark other than the landing at 6:50am which was sunrise so I didn't bother to take out my camera and film.

Every long journey usually starts at an airport somewhere and in my case last week, it was Dulles international airport in Washington DC, or IAD in airport code. It was the first leg of my trip to the west coast, or more specifically, Los Angeles, California. I was there for a short vacation, just to visit family and friends and generally relax and de-stress. I will upload videos from my LA trip very soon so watch for them!
