Everything we say here is improvised and entirely unscripted, as most people can guess. We were searching for new ideas for "A Little Nightmare Music" during a trip to Italy, filming ourselves in order not to forget what we said. When we looked through the material, we realized that most of it was unusable in any way whatsoever. We decided to take the worst of that and make a "mockumentary", or rather a "crapumentary", out of it. It happened to be the "Mozart Year", which was a big thing in Vienna and, although we love his music, very annoying to musicians who were force-fed Mozart on a daily base. There are a few brief clips with Gidon Kremer, which we filmed after a performance in his Lockenhaus Festival. We are presently developing a new music & comedy project with Gidon and the Kremerata Baltica, which is due to be premiered in 2008.

Hans Zimmer - with Aleksey Igudesman soloist on Violin - he was fantastic, at Pandamonium event, Althorp 9/7/11. He is joined by Ann Marie Calhoun later in this improv section. Tina Guo was also playing what looked like electric cello 'Pandamonium in the Park', a fun-filled day at the spectacular Althorp Estate in Northampton, a joint venture by Sainsbury's and DreamWorks Animation. a world of Chinese culture with kite flying, calligraphy and Kung Fu exhibitions and shows from The Chen Brothers and the Shaolin Monks. The highlight of the day was a concert of music featuring the Kung Fu Panda composers Hans Zimmer and John Powell, together with an orchestra, capturing all the magic of the movie. The DVD is available online: www.alekseyigudesman.com Aleksey Igudesman & Sebastian Gürtler, together with the Upper Austrian Youth Orchestra in a project called "The Cyber Conductor". This is a piece called "Uruguay" composed by Aleksey Igudesman. Now yes, Igudesman is very well aware that the "traditional" music in Uruguay is different. You have Tangos and Milongas, much like in Argentina. He has been there several times, loved the people and loved the music. The point is, he writes in his own style, which in this case happens to be Jewish-Russian-Latin American-weird mix. He is also aware that it can get cold in winter, which is Europes summer and the other way round, or something. Just because Igudesman sings something, it doesnt have to be the truth. As some people might have noticed, he uses "humour" which can ocassionally result in bending of facts. And last but not least, he did love being there, thats why he wrote the song and performed it there and in other parts of the world in front of many people who seem to enjoy it. Its better than writing an "authentic" Tango (this being a dance that is not authentic in the first place, since it is inspired by many cultures) or Milonga and saying that Uruguay is crap, don't you think? Anyway, he extends his greetings to all the wonderful people of Uruguay, Uganda and Utopia and wants to say two things: Piece. And Love. And Happiness. Violinist and composer Aleksey Igudesman has been traveling the world, playing concerts for over 20 years, never leaving out an opportunity to explore the music of the different counries he has visited. For some time now has also been composing violin duets for Universal Edition in diverse musical styles. Alongside, he has been writing poetry to compliment his own music. In this special project, he manages to bring different ways of playing the violin together in the most playful way possible. Pieces inspired by Jewish Klezmer music are mixed with Celtic Irish music, Bulgarian and Eastern European sounds, Salsa music and Tango.
