Remember the time when samples were something you sampled and not loaded from your hard drive? When a sampler was a machine that could record samples, not just play them back. As samplers became software instead of machines, they came to rely on external sample editing software for recording and editing the samples and the art of spur-of-the-moment creative sampling was pretty much lost. Infowars.com computer specialists dismissed the document as a fraud soon after examining it. Check out the document released by WhiteHouse.gov for yourself. www.whitehouse.gov Upon first inspection, the document appears to be a photocopy taken from state records and printed on official green paper. However, when the government released PDF is taken into the image editing program Adobe Illustrator, we discover a number of separate elements that reveal the document is not a single scan on paper, as one might surmise. Elements are placed in layers or editing boxes over the scan and green textured paper, which is to say the least unusual. When sections of the document are enlarged significantly, we discover glaring inconsistencies. For instance, it appears the date stamped on the document has been altered. Moreover, the document contains text, numbers, and lines with suspicious white borders indicating these items were pasted from the original scan and dropped over a background image of green paper. Object Extractor For Photo Editing - PaintShop Photo Pro X3
Free Product Trial: www.corel.com The Object Extractor is a great tool for extracting objects from an image. This can be done manually of course, by using Masking Tools like the Magic Wand or the Freehand masking tool, but some images present some hard-to-overcome challenges with semi-transparent areas that have lots of fine details. As you can see, the edges around this giraffe are well defined in most areas, but the mane and some of the fine hairs on its lower lip would be very difficult and time-consuming to select manually. So to extract the giraffe from this image Im going to use the Extract Object tool in PaintShop Photo Pro X3.

A composite image is one that is made up of a couple of photos or parts of photos. In this tutorial i have made a composite of 3 photos of myself that i edit into a single final image. The camera i use is not important nor is the lens. I uploaded the photos onto my computer via adobe lightroom 2 and then edited the images via the free software which is very much like adobe lightroom called GIMP (version 2.6) from there i use tools like the lasoo tool and the layer mask. hope this helps and you get some creative ideas from it. www.dombower.com

Hope you like it ;) Making the Smurfs Do a search for "smurfs" and find pictures that you like. Preferably ones with a white background. Save those pictures to your computer and resize them with a photo editing software. Or you can insert them into Microsoft Word and just resize them from there. Make them small enough to fit on your nail and print them out. Cut around all the parts you plan to stick on your nail but leave some overhang so it's easier to put on the nail. Reading the Histogram (Photography in 90 Seconds)
The histogram is a graph which represents the distribution of light or luminance values in your image. Its horizontal axis ranges from black and dark shadows on the left to bright or pure white on the right. Although there is no 'perfect' distribution for a histogram, a well-exposed image will have luminance values that fall within the histogram's range for your camera, with no pixel's luminance values falling on the extreme left (shadows recorded as black) or on the extreme right (highlights recorded as white), unless you are trying to achieve a particular creative result. Fortunately, all modern digital cameras can display an histogram, which you should check early and often to help ensure that you achieve a good exposure. To view the histogram, preview your image on the LCD screen of your camera, and flick through the options until a graph appears (some cameras only show luminance, while others also show the Red, Green, and Blue channel values). If it shows values on either extreme, you may want to adjust your aperture, shutter speed, or ISO, and then retake the image to regain that lost information. If the brightness values in the scene fall outside of you Histogram's range (ie, outside of its dynamic range) even after making appropriate exposure adjustments, then you may want to properly expose for the shadows and highlights in separate images, and then combine or blend those exposures in an image-editing software program like Adobe Photoshop or Photomatix; this <b>...</b>
