RF at Chennai : Race with WAP-4 Intercity Express
As me and my parents started our journey from Vilivakkam to Chennai central by an EMU to catch the Lalbagh for our return trip to Bangalore... RPM WAP-4 with Coimbatore Chennai Intercity Express overtakes us.. Then my EMU bound to Chennai catches up and both of the trains come to halt... The race starts again with Intercity starting first but my EMU overtakes it with super Acceleration.. after passing the loco we get a surprise, Chennai Hubli Express was hauled by WAG-7 in WAP-4 shell..... Then we come to a halt, the WAP-4 with intercity overtakes and it also comes to halt further ahead of us... Then AJJ WAM-4 crosses us with Chennai Tirupati Express( it also had a AJJ WAG-5 which is used to avoid loco reversal at Renigunta).. Then we start agin and reach Basin bridge Jn where intercity was waiting for line clear.... We both then start from BBQ... We race on for some time and cross Patna Bangalore Sangamitra express led by KJM WDP-4, then my EMU slows down outside home signal as Intercity continues its journey towards Chennai Central...... ICE 3 is a family of high-speed EMUs of Deutsche Bahn. It includes classes 403 and 406, which are known as ICE 3 and ICE 3M respectively. Four multisystem trains, known as ICE International, are owned by Nederlandse Spoorwegen (Dutch Railways). Loosely based on the ICE 3, Siemens developed its Siemens Velaro after the completion of the ICE 3 project.

And so I thought it would be quite fitting to return to the faulty Intercity 225 which was having trouble negotiating points and crossovers. Hornby HST/Intercity 125 in Swallow "Executive" paint scheme
I finally got round to making this review video. Hornby re-tooled their HST models in 2008, and it was well worth it. A great improvement in detail, traction, weight, and moulding. The old ones looked rather toylike and could barely pull trains longer than 3 cars. Plus, the colour scheme on this one is actual black, not a sort of shiny grey. There are loads of other paint schemes for this one available, so pick your favourite! Lets hope they do an Intercity 225 now.
