Lazy Man's Super Bowl Chili

ARE YOU READY FOR SOME CHILI? Jack Scalfani gets his chili on for Super Bowl Sunday. Here is the parody of this show: www.youtube.com Here is the recipe: Ingredients: 1 pound of ground sirloin 1 pound of jimmy dean sausage 1 large onion chopped 1 16 oz bag of mexican cheese 3 cans of black beans 2 cans of pinto beans 1 can of corn 2 jars of salsa (mild) 1/2 tsp of red pepper flakes (optional) 1 can of crushed tomatoes 1 tsp of tomatoe paste 1 tsp of minced garlic pinch of salt to taste pepper to taste Directions: Brown the meat in olive oil in a sauce pot or dutch oven. When meat is about 90% brown, then add in the onions. Finish browning. Add in all the other ingredients. Cook on low flame for about 40-50 minutes. Add cheese at the end and then serve.

Be sure to post any of your food picks to facebook.com Here is the recipe: Ingredients: 1 head of cabbage 2 onions 1/2 stick of butter and dashes of olive oil 1 12 oz. bag of noodles, (My mom made her own) (add 1 pound of bacon as an option) salt and pepper to taste Directions: (if your adding bacon then cook your bacon first) 1. In a large fry pan or dutch oven, On low heat, melt butter (or bacon fat). 2. Rinse cabbage, and remove any outer leaves that look damaged. 3. Cut onions and place in the pan of melted butter, turn up heat to medium so they begin to lightly brown. 4. Keep an eye on the onions and reduce heat to lowest setting once golden. 5. On a cutting board place the cabbage core side up. (facing you). 6. With a large sharp knife, slice cabbage about 1/2 inch sections from right to center core. (like slicing cheese). 7. As you slice, scoop up cabbage sections and place in pan also. Turn the cabbage and repeat this process until all that is left is the core. ***NOTE***Dice the core and freeze it for an excellent addition to soups and stews. 8. Once all cabbage is in pan, turn up heat to medium/high and stir frequently until cabbage begins to brown and cook down. 9. add dashes of salt and pepper as you stir 10.Once cabbage and onion are nicely caramelized reduce heat to low and drain off any liquid that has accumulated. 11.Cook noodles according to package directions for aldente and drain well. 12.Add well strained noodles. Jack Scalfani shows you his family's secret recipe on how to make Rice Pudding. Rice Pudding Recipe 1 ½ cups long grain rice 4 cups water 6 cups milk 2 cups sugar 2 eggs 1 T vanilla 1/8 tsp salt 1/8 tsp cinnamon Boil rice in water till water is gone. Add milk and cook on low flame till thick. Beat eggs, vanilla, drop of milk and cinnamon. Add mixture to rice and cook till thoroughly blended. Put in bowl and sprinkle with cinnamon. Here is the recipe: Thai Curry Chicken 1 14-ounce can unsweetened coconut milk,* whisked to blend 1 1/4 teaspoons Thai curry paste* 1 large red bell pepper, cut into 1/3-inch-wide strips 1 medium onion, thinly sliced 1 pound chicken tenders, cut crosswise in half 1 tablespoon (packed) brown sugar 1 tablespoon fish sauce (nam pla)* 1 cup chopped seeded tomatoes 1/3 cup thinly sliced fresh basil 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice additional items: cilantro, chili pepper, double the paste, replace fresh tomatoes with diced can tomatoes, cinnamon, ginger root preparation Bring 1/4 cup coconut milk and curry paste to boil in large skillet over medium-high heat, whisking constantly. Add bell pepper and onion; sauté 5 minutes. Stir in chicken, remaining coconut milk, sugar and fish sauce. Cook until chicken is cooked through, stirring often, about 5 minutes. Stir in remaining 3 ingredients and simmer 1 minute. Season with salt.

Jack Scalfani shows you how to make delicious stuffing for your holiday turkey. Here is the recipe: How to Make Perfect Stuffing ingredients: 4 teaspoons of poultry seasoning, sage, salt and pepper 2 teaspoons of marjoram leaves 1 loaf of white bread 3 cups chopped celery 2 large onions chopped 1/2 a cup of raisins 2 cups of milk small package of walnuts. about 3/4 of a cup 2 pounds (32 oz.) of ground pork sausage 1 1/4 cup of butter (2.5 sticks) Directions: lay out all the white bread slices and let get stale over night. cube bread slices and place in a pot or big mixing bowl. in one frying pan melt the butter in the another frying pan brown the ground pork once butter is melted, add celery and onions and sauté them. remove pan with onions and celery from flame and add seasonings. Mix thoroughly. pour celery/onion mixture over cubed bread. then pour browned sausage pieces over cubed bread then put raisins and smasked walnuts on top one cubed bread and toss lightly drizzle milk on top and toss again lightly stuff into bird or bag for another night.

Braised Red Cabbage - German

Jack Scalfani gets some German going with this simple side dish. Here is the recipe: Ingredients: 3 1/2 lb red cabbage (1 medium head), quartered, cored, and thinly sliced crosswise 4 bacon slices, chopped 1 tablespoon unsalted butter 2 large sweet onions, thinly sliced 1/2 cup white-wine vinegar 3 tablespoons packed brown sugar 1 tablespoon salt 1 teaspoon black pepper preparation Rinse cabbage under cold water, then drain (do not pat dry). Cook bacon in an 8-quart heavy pot over moderately low heat, stirring, until crisp, about 3 minutes. Remove bacon with a slotted spoon, reserving it for another use. Add butter to bacon fat, then increase heat to moderate and cook onions, stirring, until golden brown, 12 to 15 minutes. Stir in cabbage, vinegar, brown sugar, salt, and pepper and simmer, covered, stirring occasionally, until tender, about 1 1/4 hours.

How To Make Beef Jerky At Home

Jack Scalfani shows you how to do homemade beef jerky. PLEASE SUBSCRIBE TO THIS CHANNEL. IT'S FREE. Here is the recipe for the marinade that Jack used. Ingredients: 1 1/2 to 2 pounds flank steak 2/3 cup Worcestershire sauce 2/3 cup soy sauce 1 tablespoon honey 2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper 2 teaspoons onion powder 1 teaspoon liquid smoke 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (add more to make hotter) Special Equipment: 1 box fan, 2 paper air-conditioning filters, and 2 bungee cords or shipping tape Basically what you want to do is trim the meat of any fat. Then stick it in the freezer for about an hour or two until it's firm. You don't want it completely frozen, but this helps with the slicing. Cut long, thin strips WITH the grain. I know this is counterintuitive, but this is what you want to do for good jerky; we're not making steaks here. ;-) Mix all of the marinade ingredients together in a large zip-lock baggy, and drop in your meat. Ensure all the pieces are coated, and throw it in the refrigerator for about 6 hours. When 6 hours is up, remove the meat, pat the pieces dry and grab your filters. Lay the strips out in the grooves of the filter. Cover with the other filter, and bungee or tape the stack to your (preferable square) box fan. Turn the fan on high, and let it blow over the meat for 12 hours. After 12 hours is up, it's time to enjoy some delicious, delicious home made jerky.
