There's a major search and rescue operation underway in Japan. 300 hundred military planes and 40 ships have joined the mission to survey the damage. It's the north east of Japan which has been worst hit by the massive tsunami caused by the biggest in nearly a century and a half. The wave crashes over the seawall carrying away everything in its path, including boats that topple over the wall and are smashed into a bridge. A 33ft tsunami has killed at least eight people as it swept over Japan's northeastern coast after a 8.9 magnitude megaquake near the capital Tokyo. A powerful 7.4-magnitude earthquake has struck off the coast of Japan. A tsunami warning was issued, which was later lifted.
