Johnny Carson's Practical Joke on Joan Rivers - Margaret Thatcher Impressionist (about 1983)

Johnny Carson plays an elaborate practical joke on Joan Rivers (about 1983). Because of her many jokes about the British Royal Family, Johnny Carson hires British actress Janet Brown - notable for playing Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher - to fool Joan Rivers into thinking she is the Prime Minister, who confronts and scolds Joan Rivers about her material. Rivers' late husband Edgar Rosenberg is briefly seen in this video. In her panic while being confronted by "Margaret Thatcher", Rivers says: "Edgar, why don't you sit here?" Due to the falling out between Joan Rivers and Johnny Carson after she left her position as permanent guest hostess on his show to host her own competing talk show on Fox, this has not been broadcast since 1985.

I had to upload this because the other one on YouTube had the comments disabled and I had to say that Johnny will be missed and is by far my favorite celebrity of all time. CLASS ACT!! His leaving The Tonight Show was truly the end of an era...his passing made obviously dashed any hopes of any further appearances, and in no small way, I'll never be able to laugh that hard or be entertained that much as when he was the host of The Tonight Show.

Johnny Carson - Do You Trust Your Wife? (1/4)

"Do You Trust Your Wife?" originally aired on CBS from January, 1956 to March, 1957 and was emceed by Edgar Bergen. The show (under the same name) was later emceed by Johnny Carson on ABC from September, 1957 to July, 1958. A later version of the show, "Who Do You Trust?," aired on ABC from July, 1958 to December, 1963. Carson and Ed McMahon left in September, 1962 to do The Tonight Show. A quiz show, married couples answered trivia questions. The name of the show is derived from an aspect of the game in which the husband decides whether to answer the trivia question himself or trust his wife. There are some very colorful contestants in this episode, including one man who teaches fencing for a living and another who earns his living as a pitchman. Of course, Carson is entertaining and gets off some good one liners. This video brought to you by hwy61media. Please take a moment to rate this movie and add your comments.
