Siri the Comedian?

Siri can answer most questions, no matter how inappropriate. This is the big one. We've seen the controlled demonstrations. We've seen what it can do out in the wild. We've even seen an entire site dedicated to funny things that Siri says. But does it pass the TechnoBuffalo test? So far, it's performed as well as you'd expect. But rather than give it the obligatory weather, location and alarm requests, we decided to have some fun by throwing out a few off-the-wall questions Siri's way. Because really, why be productive with your new voice assistant when you can instead entertain yourself with her sassy responses? HTC One X Review - AT&T

HTC One X Review - AT&T Version Full written review: tchno.be We fell in love with the international HTC One X and we've also just spent the past several days with AT&T's 4G LTE model. There are few differences between the two phones; the most noticeable of which is AT&T's decision to launch the One X with 4G LTE support and a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 chip instead of NVIDIA's quad-core Tegra 3 chip. That may be a big deal for gamers, since we saw a big performance difference between the two chips, but AT&T customers will no doubt love the 4G LTE connectivity. Let's take a deeper dive into the One X for AT&T. Apple TV Unboxing - 2012 Model It's here, and one day early! No, not the new iPad. But second best: the upgraded Apple TV. Much of what was revealed last week was expected -- like the A5X chip and 1080p playback -- while Apple kept a few tricks up its sleeve by announcing some welcome UI tweaks. Pentax 645D Review

Pentax 645D Review In the Photography world, 35mm, or "full frame" is the standard by which nearly all cameras are judged. Focal lengths, crop factors and other camera traits are all based on the 35mm equivalent. Granted, a 35mm digital camera sensor is the largest sensor available in the consumer circuit, thanks to models like the Canon EOS 5D Mark II and Nikon D800. But what would happen if we transcended a 35mm sensor—a chip even bigger than the ones found in flagship full frame models like the Nikon D4 and Canon EOS D1x? After the "death grip" debacle with the iPhone 4, it's only natural to wonder if it carried over to the iPhone 4S as they share the exact same physical design on the exterior. HTC Sensation XL Hands On

Hands on with the HTC Sensation XL with Beats Audio Not to be confused with the Sensation XE, HTC is bringing us another Beats by Dr. Dre-equipped device called the Sensation XL and we were lucky enough to go hands-on at CTIA. Immediately you'll notice that, as a whole, HTC's behemoth is a very attractive device; the aluminum gives it a quality feel and the glossy white finish (with ear beats headphones to match) and large 4.7-inch Super LCD display really make widgets, photos and webpages pop -- one thing to note, however, is that the screen resolution is 480 x 800, but I have to say that it was still very beautiful with great viewing angles. On the inside, while not as exceptional as the Sensation XE, the Sensation XL comes with a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor along with HSPA 14.4 network support and an 8-megapixel camera on back capable of recording 720p HD video. Strangely, because this is a device aimed at audiophiles, the Sensation XL only comes with 16GB of onboard storage that is not expandable. Still, the Sensation XL is something music fans, especially those who have experienced Beats technology, will really enjoy. The bad news is that the Sensation XL will never be available stateside, but don't count out a tweaked version of the phone showing up on our shores sometime in the future. T-Mobile G2x Review More on the T-Mobile G2 www.technobuffalo.com TechnoBuffalo on Facebook http Follow Us on Twitter www.twitter.com The T-Mobile G2x marks a lot of firsts. It's the carrier's first dual-core device, LG's first Tegra 2 phone, and back when it was announced as the Optimus 2x, (pre Atrix) it was the first dual-core device in existence. While the G2x maybe a trailblazer, does it deserve a place in your pocket? I applaud LG and T-Mobile for delivering an untainted Android (2.2) experience with solid build quality, but came away disappointed by 4G signal quality. There is much more to love that hate about the G2x, and with an out of the box Quadrant score of 2379 it's bound to make the hardware nerds giddy. For the full review, hit the play button below. Samsung Galaxy Note Review

Samsung Galaxy Note Review When the Galaxy Note was introduced last September, it was difficult to imagine ever using such a large phone. With a 5.3″ display, the device doesn't exactly fly under the radar, especially out in public. Out of all the phones I've tested, the Note easily attracted the most attention and, after folks saw it in action, continually received praise. People were often curious about who made it, and whether or not the device's sheer size dampened the experience. My answers? Samsung, and not at all. The Note fits in a niche between big phones and small tablets, carving out a new category all its own. Having used the HTC Titan as my daily driver, I thought I had reached my ideal screen size at 4.7″. Now that I've developed a taste for the Note's 5.3″ display, I'm hooked. The screen is absolutely gorgeous. Widgets, pictures, and videos pop, and because the display is so physically large and high-res, there's plenty of real estate for a lot of content. I found myself preferring the Note for tasks I would have normally used a tablet for (eg browsing the web, checking fantasy scores, looking at photos). Playstation Network Hacked - User Info Stolen!

Playstation Network Hacked - User Info Stolen! For more on the situation: www.technobuffalo.com The PlayStation Network has been down since the middle of last week. The result of the outage, as users were notified on Saturday, was to rebuild the network security in light of an unwanted, external intrusion. Now Sony has come forth and issued an update declaring that personal user information was stolen during the intrusion. The data includes usernames, passwords, names, birth dates, addresses, purchase history and, Sony warns, potentially credit card information. Here's how Sony's putting it... "...we believe that an unauthorized person has obtained the following information that you provided: name, address (city, state, zip), country, email address, birthdate, PlayStation Network/Qriocity password and login, and handle/PSN online ID. It is also possible that your profile data, including purchase history and billing address (city, state, zip), and your PlayStation Network/Qriocity password security answers may have been obtained. I remember the original black and white progeny of the Danger (Software & OS) and Sharp (Hardware), and staring in wonder at the browser of the Sidekick 2. Much like parachute pants and 90201 sideburns, the Sidekick brand has seen better days. However, every good thing deserves a revival, and the folks at T-Mobile are hoping a complete makeover will make the brand relevant again. The recipe for the new Sidekick 4G is a pretty impressive mix Android (FroYo), a 3.5" (480 X800) capacitive touchscreen powered by Samsung's Cortex A8 Hummingbird processor (the same one found in the Galaxy S line). Does this modern mix of hardware and software breathe new life into an old brand? Does the Sidekick 4G offer enough to separate itself from the growing competition? The answer, is yes and no. Amazon Kindle (2011) Review

Amazon Kindle (2011) Review Up until September's Amazon event, the Kindle was the company's defining product. But with the Kindle Touch and Kindle Fire soon hitting the scene, the immensely popular e-Reader, now in its fourth generation, has seen changes, some good, some not so good. With Amazon's current Kindle Lineup, it's clear the company wanted to make a distinction between its three new devices: bare-bones, touch and full-fledged tablet. If you've ever used a previous Kindle, you'll be familiar with the solid hardware, snappy speed and easy to read screen; this generation's iteration is no different. The Kindle now comes sans keyboard, sporting a bite-sized form factor while still retaining a comfortable screen size and light weight. In the end, it ultimately comes down to preference. The Kindle lacks the bells and whistles of it's more expensive brothers, most notably a keyboard, but that wasn't something that bothered me in the least. For the price, $79 with ads and $109 without, it's still remains the best e-reader on the market. Check out the video for a more in-depth review. Did this statement hold up after running it through my usual battery of tests? Is this the best Android phone currently on T-Mobile? That's not to say, however, that this tablet doesn't come packed with some fantastic features: 1.5 GHz dual-core CPU, 10.1-inch display, 32GB of internal storage, Android 3.1 (Honeycomb) with HTC Sense 1.0 overlaid, 8-megapixel camera and a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera. The materials of the Jetstream is of the utmost quality. The 10.1-inch screen is very nice on the eyes and includes a very subtle but welcome lip on each side of the device when you hold it horizontally. But do the more than capable internals, 4G LTE on AT&T and premium build quality justify the high price? Are you excited for the HTC Jetstream? HTC Jetstream Review

HTC Jetstream Review In a fiercely competitive tablet market, price is one of the biggest factors consumers consider. Case in point: Kindle Fire. Following the device's announcement back in September, Amazon's newest Kindle member, priced at $199, has seen record pre-order numbers pile up, and it still hasn't been released. Granted, it does have Amazon's ecosystem behind it, but the $199 consumer-friendly price is a huge draw. So how does a company offering an Android tablet, similar to other Android tablets, stand out? For the 4G LTE enabled HTC Jetstream, the price is its biggest headline, but for all the wrong reasons. At its cheapest, the HTC Jetstream is offered at $699 with a two year contract and $849 without -- no, that is not a typo. That alone is enough to turn away consumers, and it's unfortunate because the wonderful build quality, HTC Sense UI and Scribe technology make it a solid device, albeit one that many probably won't get to experience because of its premium price. It's worth noting, too, that we did notice a slight lag during daily operation, even though the device is packing a 1.5GHz dual-core processor. With an LTE enabled Galaxy Tab 10.1 available at a much friendlier price, the Jetstream is a hard device to recommend. Future Ride: Jon Gets Inside the Tesla Model S Electric Car

Is a 17-inch, Web connected touchscreen smack dab in the middle of an automobile's dashboard a good idea in the age of distracted driving? That remains to be seen. But there's no question that the Tesla Model S' connected infotainment system is super cool. Between the audio and navigation controls, electric powertrain monitoring system, and full Web browser, the Nvidia-powered Model S takes just about every bit of personal, trip and vehicle information one could think of and literally puts it at driver and passenger's fingertips. tchno.be Get more CES coverage at youtube.com or revision3.com For more tech goodness, check us out at: www.technobuffalo.com Follow Us on Twitter www.twitter.com Like Us on Facebook: www.facebook.com Check Us Out on Google + tchno.be

Samsung Galaxy Note Review (AT&T)

AT&T Samsug Galaxy Note Review Call it what you will: phablet, tablone, taphone, the Samsung Galaxy Note has finally reached US shores, imposing its 5.3-inch display on the wimpy screens of every other smartphone out there. If you want big, this is the phone to get. If you want an all around pleasant Android experience, this, too, is the phone to get. HTC Titan II Review

HTC Titan II Review I loved using the old Titan. It was big and beautiful, and helped develop my love of massive screens. Best of all, it convinced me that Windows Phone has a chance. There have been a lot of great handsets since the first Titan launched, however — Galaxy Note, HTC One X, Lumia 900 — meaning the Titan II is going up against a lot of big-name competition. Now that I've spent time with the sequel — five months removed from the original, mind you — is it enough to stand out from the crowd?
