The other day, I was lucky enough to be at an event to bring the arts back into schools and got to see an amazing collaboration between Yo-Yo Ma and a young dancer in LA, Lil Buck. Someone who knows Yo-Yo Ma had seen Lil Buck on YouTube and put them together. The dancing is Lil Buck's own creation and unlike anything I've seen. The new found notoriety of director Spike Jonez was the focus of this MTV Week in Rock segment. The clip was comprised of footage from music videos Spike directed, eg Beastie Boys "Sabotage" and Weezer's "Undone (the Sweater Song)." Also included was footage of Nathanial Hornblower's antics at the 1994 MTV Video Music Awards. In a short interview with MTV reporters, Spike described what he was feeling on that now infamous evening.

Hello Tomorrow is the title of a 2005 Adidas television advertisement, and also the name of the song used in the commercial. The 90-second spot was created by Oscar-nominated film director Spike Jonze for ad agency TBWA\Chiat\Day to advertise the adidas_1 "intelligent" sneakers. The title song was composed specifically for the advertisement by Jonze's brother, Sam "Squeak E. Clean" Spiegel, and its lyrics were sung by Jonze's then-girlfriend, Karen O of the Grammy-nominated rock band Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Proving to be an incredibly successful commercial, Hello Tomorrow received many honors; these include two Gold Lions at the 2005 Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival, three 2006 Silver Clio Awards, and a 2006 Gold EFFIE Award.

"I'm Here" is a robot love story celebrating a life enriched by creativity.
