The challenges just keep coming. KEGE, Eagle County Regional, sits around 6500 and sports two official approaches:- LDA/DME RWY 25 and RNAV (GPS) -D, which I suppose could be used to get you in the vicinity of the airport then circle to land 07, but once you see the area, well, that would be easy for a Piper, but a 763 is a very different story. In any case, I created a kind of RNAV07 approach which comes off RLG (KREMMLING) and continues in a mostly Westerly direction down that valley, then south to go around those hills SXW (SNOW) VOR sits on, continuing to turn left in from of that hill until you can visually see to make your right turn to line up and land on 07. Finally, not my best landing; I had all kinds of time to correct the drift, and yet shortly after touchdown I put the left mains off the edge of the pavement. Must have had a brain fart.
