Here is perhaps the hottest scene, at least for gay men, in the movie, Kaboom. The film was directed by renowned gay independent filmmaker, Gregg Araki and stars Thomas Dekker as Smith (he's the dark-haired guy in the clip). Smith is fantasizing about his excruciatingly hot surfer college roommate, Thor (played by Chris Zylka), when Thor unexpectedly walks into the room after a night of partying. Kaboom has been aptly described by Glenn Dunks as a "queer apocalyptic stoner religious cult horror comedy" and Dunks praises the movie as entertaining and violently funny. The film is filled with beautiful young people, including four unbelievably beautiful men (Thomas Dekker, Chris Zylka, Brennan Mejia, and Carlo Mendez). Unfortunately, the director touches on way to many plot themes and it is hard to do all of them justice. In the span of just 86 minutes, the film includes or touches upon every kind of sex (gay, lesbian, bi, straight, incestuous, and cougar sex all take place in the movie), as well as plot elements involving nuclear holocaust, hidden identities, murder, religious cults, comedy, coming of age, mystery, thriller, and supernatural or paranormal abilities. The above clip shows a bit of the one plot element that I wish the movie had more of: the kind of erotically charged hot gay romance seen in this clip.
