This is Fred Karlin's arrangement of "Silver City Bound" that he used for the 1976 film "Leadbelly". As far as I know, this is the only professional attempt at the song that Blind Lemon Jefferson and Leadbelly reportedly sang on a train. Captured from the LP. RIP Karlin.

Sinclair QL relaunch 1985 - David Karlin interviewed
A look at the Sinclair Microdrives which were originally an add-on for the ZX Spectrum. They were also built into the Sinclair QL and the ICL OPD as their standard data storage device. Later in this video is an interview with David Karlin, the QL designer. In the early 2000s David Karlin was the Managing Director of one of the UK's top FTSE-100 companies (SAGE). In this TV program software could be downloaded from a black and white spot on the TV screen to the Sinclair ZX Spectrum using a Light-Pen interface.

The Psychology of Sustainability- Beth Karlin
There is growing consensus that environmental, social, and economic sustainability are not possible given current trends and that understanding human interactions with the environment is a key aspect of ameliorating many of these issues. Psychology, as the science of human behavior, is in a prime position to assist with this task. Human interactions with sustainability include human drivers of un-sustainability (eg over-use of limited resources), human consequences of instability (eg natural and technological disasters), and human responses to a changing environment (eg mitigation and adaptation). Although progress is being made in the natural and physical sciences towards technological solutions and in political circles towards more sustainable policies, an understanding of individuals is vital for these new technologies to be adopted and policies supported. This talk will include a discussion of current and pressing issues in the psychology of sustainability and share recent insights in areas such as social norms, risk perception, message framing, and positive psychology that highlight some of the ways that psychology is contributing to these issues.
