TEDxBozeman - Barbara Kuhr - Wood, Rocks, Cats

A personal look at architecture and the purpose of design, as seen through the lens of lessons that Kuhr learned while growing up in the mid-century modern house that her father designed and built in 1958. Barbara Kuhr and partner John Plunkett were the founding Creative Directors of Wired magazine and HotWired, the world's first website with original content and advertising. For over 20 years from their studio in Park City, Utah, Plunkett + Kuhr has practiced 'content-based problem-solving', to create surprising, effective strategies and designs for companies and non-profits, for brands, publications, exhibits and architecture. Clients include the Sundance Film Festival, TED conferences, and Carnegie Hall. www.plunkett-kuhr.com About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
