Andrew! - Episode 9: Kung Fu Kid - Part 1

After so many advisements everywhere, Andrew finally gives in, and sees the new Karate Kid movie. However, after finally seeing the movie, he feels it was wrongly title, and doesn't deserve the "Karate Kid" name. Later that night, he is visited by the ghost of Pat Morita (aka Mr. Miyagi), and he teaches him real karate. Oh well. At least it's finally done. In my opinion, the new Karate Kid movie was actually pretty good, but I felt weird watching Kung Fu being taught than Karate. Also, I prefer the original movie because to me, it's a classic. But hey, everyone has different opinions. I noticed YouTube made it so you can now post videos that are now 15 minutes long. However, this episode is 17 minutes long, so I still had to break it in to two parts like always. I decided this episode to Greg Giraldo ...

The Incredible Kids (AKA The 5 Kung Fu Kids) Opening Credits

I just put this up for nostalgia's sake. I saw this when I was 5 or 6 and it was the greatest film ever to me. I had been looking for it ever since and I found it a few hours ago. It's hilarious looking back on the movie now. These kids get the living shit kicked out them hahaha. I also thought it's pretty funny that their character names are Little Rambo, Little Jacky, Little Chuck, and Little Bruce. I think it's because of their signature fighting movies in the opening.

The story is set in 1930s Hong Kong, with Chow as a shaggy-haired, would-be bad guy named Sing, who gets caught up in the middle of a war between the top-hat-wearing Axe gang and the hard scrabble inhabitants of Pig Sty Alley. Chow--who wrote, produced, and directed--doesn't step in as the star here for quite a while, letting the comic duties fly in a myriad of directions: a landlady in curlers (Yuen Qiu) has a yell that can flatten buildings; people get kicked across courtyards and through walls; musician assassins whip ghost sabers from lyre strings, and a mental patient in pink flip-flops named "the Beast" (Leung Siu Lung) catches bullets in his fingers. Buoyed by SOCCER's box office success, HUSTLE uses bigger production values and a dizzying amount of CGI-enhanced martial arts (imagine Bruce Lee vs. Bugs Bunny in THE MATRIX). It's full of references to other films and filmmakers, revering spaghetti westerns and '70s Shaw brothers movies a la Tarantino's KILL BILL (fight choreographer Yuen Wo Ping worked on both films). It also pays sly homage to the works of Wong Kar Wai, DW Griffith, Sam Raimi, Jean-Luc Godard, Stanley Kubrick, and Akira Kurosawa. Raymond Wong's inspired score matches each cinematic reference with the appropriate cue as the camera circles and swoops around the sprawling sets. This is a real treat, more than a great action film or comedy, it's a great film period, and one that set box office records in the

The Shaolin Temple 2: Kids From Shaolin (1983) (Part 1 of 7)

If you cant see the subtitles, please turn on the captions Playlist: www.youtube.com Kids From Shaolin (Chinese: 少林小子; pinyin: Shàolín Xiǎozi, aka Shaolin Temple 2: Kids From Shaolin) is a 1984 Hong Kong/Chinese action-comedy kung fu film directed by Chang Hsin-yen. It stars Jet Li, Yu Chenghui, Yu Hai and Ding Lan from the original 1982 Shaolin Temple film, which is also directed by Chang. However, the plot has no bearing with the first movie and hence Kids from Shaolin is a sequel to the original in name only. The film also stars Jet Li's first wife Huang Qiuyan (黃秋燕) as his rival and later love interest. Li first met Huang, also a martial artist, in martial school and they went on to have two daughters. (The couple is now divorced and Li is now married to Nina Li Chi, a former Hong Kong actress.) Plot: A former Shaolin monk, Tian Long ("Heaven Chinese Dragon", played by Yu Hai), and his younger brother, Di Long ("Earth Chinese Dragon", Hu Jianqiang), raise eight orphan boys whom they saved from murdering bandits ravaging their home village. The children refer to Tian Long as their father and Di Long as their uncle and are taught Shaolin kungfu by the two. All have taken the last character name of Long (龙/龍). They settle at the mountainous area at Lijiang where they stay in a hut. The Long boys are playful and often bicker and fight with the daughters of the Feng (凤/鳳, "Phoenix") family who live just across the river and practice the Wudangquan style of ...
