For latest updates, follow RT on twitter.com and www.facebook.com Colonel Gaddafi has reportedly been captured alive, after two months on the run. The country's new authorities claim the ousted leader's been taken in his hometown of Sirte, reportedly overrun by government forces. It's been the last major stronghold of Gaddafi's supporters for the past two months. LIBYA Gaddafi Oxford Speech: Africa In The 21st Century, China Soft Approach Vs US Hard Approach, AU

How To Go To Heaven: www.jesus-is-savior.com www.aljazeera.com The African 'Star Wars' It is the Pentagon's Africom versus China's web of investments - the ultimate prize: Africa's natural resources. Pepe Escobar Last Modified: 26 Apr 2011 13:54 From energy wars to water wars, the 21st century will be determined by a fierce battle for the world's remaining natural resources. The chessboard is global. The stakes are tremendous. Most battles will be invisible. All will be crucial. In resource-rich Africa, a complex subplot of the New Great Game in Eurasia is already in effect. It's all about three major intertwined developments: 1) The coming of age of the African Union (AU) in the early 2000s. 2) China's investment offencive in Africa throughout the 2000s. 3) The onset of the Pentagon's African Command (Africom) in 2007. Beijing clearly sees that the Anglo-French-American bombing of Libya -- apart from its myriad geopolitical implications -- has risked billions of dollars in Chinese investments, not to mention forcing the (smooth) evacuation of more than 35000 Chinese working across the country. And crucially, depending on the outcome -- as in renegotiated energy contracts by a pliable, pro-Western government -- it may also seriously jeopardise Chinese oil imports (3 per cent of total Chinese imports in 2010). No wonder the China Military, a People's Liberation Army (PLA) newspaper, as well as sectors in academia, are now openly arguing that China needs to drop Deng ...

Libya: Gaddafi's son Saif holds Western secrets.....[Release the secrets]

From: Russia Today Secrets not Saif: Death penalty threat for Gaddafi's son Published: 24 November, 2011, 10:31 After Colonel Gaddafi's battlefield execution last month, there had been hopes his captured son Saif Al-Islam would receive a fair trial. However, there are powerful figures in the West who could influence the course of justice. Saif Al-Islam Gaddafi is a man with a lot to say. He is the last chance the world has to find out how the Gaddafi regime went from Public Enemy No 1 to bosom buddies with Britain and other Western powers. The International Criminal Court in The Hague says it is not going to call for his extradition, instead allowing Libya to try him on home soil. His future might indeed be bleak in the hands of Libya's new rulers. Libyan officials are already calling for the death penalty in what many fear is a tactic to keep those dirty secrets hidden forever. Political analyst William Engdahl told RT believes matters have been arranged so that "the information about the relationships that Gaddafi and the CIA [had] over decades will not come out." He believes Western powers are notoriously dedicated to protecting their secrets. "Look at what happened to the trial of Milosevic," he said. rt.com ......................................................................... NATO 'murderers' says Libya's Gaddafi

Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi has accused NATO countries of murder in a speech aired by state media, speaking after the alliance acknowledged for the first time that its bombs may have killed civilians. This was in reference to a strike on Sunday in which a house in Tripoli was destroyed. The deaths have prompted some in the alliance itself to question its mission, but France and Britain rejected an Italian call to stop military action. ... www.euronews.net

Libya, Oil and Colonel Muammar Gaddafi (1972 Documentary Film)

thefilmarchive.org Muammar Muhammad Abu Minyar al-Gaddafi (Arabic: مُعَمَّر القَذَّافِي‎ Muʿammar al-Qaḏḏāfī, born 7 June 1942), commonly known as Muammar Gaddafi play /ˈmoʊ.əmɑr ɡəˈdɑːfi/ or Colonel Gaddafi, is the former autocratic ruler of Libya from 1969, when he seized power in a military coup, until 2011 when, as a result of the 2011 Libyan civil war, his government was overthrown by a NATO-backed rebel force. His 41-year rule prior to the uprising made him the fourth longest-ruling non-royal leader since 1900, as well as the longest-ruling Arab leader. He variously styled himself as 'the Brother Leader', 'Guide of the Revolution' and the 'King of Kings'. After seizing power in 1969, he abolished the Libyan Constitution of 1951 and imposed laws based on the political ideology he had formulated, called the Third International Theory and published in The Green Book. Gaddafi and his relatives took over much of the economy. Gaddafi started several wars, and acquired chemical weapons. Gaddafi also supplied weapons to the Irish Republican Army, a listed terrorist organisation in Great Britain and other countries. The United Nations called Libya under Gaddafi a pariah state. In the 1980s, countries around the world imposed sanctions against Gaddafi. Six days after the capture of Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein by United States troops, Gaddafi renounced Tripoli's weapons of mass destruction (WMD) programs and welcomed international inspections to verify that he would follow ...
