Dramatic video shows Libya rebels fighting 'Gaddafi loyalists'

Footage filmed on the road to Sirte on Monday allegedly shows rebel fighters capturing two suspected Moammar Gadhafi loyalists, who are travelling towards the checkpoint, before turning their truck around and attempting to flee under heavy fire from the rebels. One appears to be injured and immediately after escaping from the truck falls to the ground. Another alleged loyalist is seen running at the scene, repeatedly shot at by rebel fighters. After surrendering, the two suspected loyalists were taken to Misrata, rebels said. RT on Twitter: twitter.com RT on Facebook: www.facebook.com

Who are the libyan 'rebels'?

Opposition fighters against Gaddafi's regime are sometimes referred to as 'rebels'. This can be viewed negatively and so the correct term for the 'rebels' is freedom fighters.

Libyan rebel loots Tripoli

After 6-months-long failing attempts to overthrow Gaddafi by the hands of 'Libyan rebels' and to weaken his regime by permanent bombings, the 'democratic' powers have put their last ace on table. On Saturday evening August 20, 2011 they have launched a large-scale special land operation in Tripoli with the support of NATO aviation. British SAS, French GIGN and Foreign Legion, several US-based private paramilitary armies and few local jihadist groups are participating in this massacre. More than 1300 Libyan civilians are already reportedly killed in the action. Rebels steal , kill , rape, and leave people unburried. this is crime and certaintly not something that a muslim do. The bodies of dead people are rotting iunder the sun. many unburied.

Libya - Rebels Lose Control To Green Resistance Fighters - Bani Walid - Civil War?

Libya - Rebels Lose Control To Green Resistance Fighters - Bani Walid - Civil War? Loyalists of Libya's ousted leader Muammar Gaddafi have seized control of the town of Bani Walid, raising the former government's green flag, an official and a commander have said. The retaking of the town, 150km southeast of Tripoli, the capital, comes as Libya's new leaders have struggled to unify the oil-rich North African nation three months after Gaddafi was captured and killed. Hundreds of well-equipped and highly trained remnants of Gaddafi's forces raised the flag over buildings in the western city late on Monday after hours of clashes, said Mubarak al-Fatamni, the head of Bani Walid's local council. Fatamni, who fled to the nearby city of Misrata after the attack, said four revolutionary fighters were killed and 25 others were wounded. A resident of the town said the fighters used heavy weaponry, including 106-mm anti-tank guns, and that seven people were killed and 20 wounded. Al Jazeera's Stefanie Dekker, reporting from the outskirts of Bani Walid, said that pro-Gaddafi fighters seized the town late on Monday and were still in control there. "Many brigades from other parts of the country have assembled here on the outskirts of Bani Walid and are now waiting for orders from the government as to how to proceed," she said. Fatamni said the Libyan defence ministry had not sent any forces to the area. 'NTC let us down' "There are around 100 and 150 men armed with heavy weapons who are ...
