Since posting my range video I have gotten a number of "tips" and "criticisms" and much "advice" about why I had the five failures I had. Everything from limp wristing to bad sights, faulty springs, new grip angles, bad ammo and hand placement was thrown at me. It was hotter than the dickens and my hands were so sweaty they kept slipping off the gun but other than that it was as typical a shoot as ever. I am receptive to all forms of improvement and so I considered all of these points carefully as I started shooting. I checked my grip again and again. I refocused on the front sight and told myself not to worry or care about where I was hitting. I checked my stance again and even used different ammo. I carefully considered what was advised to me about the grip angle and how I should hold my Glock. I adjusted my trigger control and let her fly. My slide failed to lock to the rear on empty with all three magazines I shot and on the last magazine I had another failure to feed. I haven't experienced this many failures with any gun in two and a half years. I've done some googling and found quite a few other complaints from Gen 4 17 and 19 owners complaining of slide lock and feeding failures. Apparently I'm not the only one and hopefully the problem will be addressed by Glock soon. However, it would be nice to get affirmation that it is not just me (ie shooter error). Either way, I'm sending my Glock to the range with my husband tomorrow to see if he has better success and I'm ...
