High Zoom Full HD footage of Aer Lingus A320-200 taxiing and taking off from runway 35 at Cork Airport, Ireland en route to Barcelona, Spain as flight EI868 (Callsign : "Shamrock Eight Six Eight"). This aircraft is registered as EI-DEB. It was delivered to Aer Lingus on 21/05/2004 and is leased from ILFC. It is powered by two CFM56-5B4/P engines. The conditions at the time were a light wind from the North West at 310 degrees. The air temperature was 5 degrees centigrade. As you can see in the footage the runway surface was wet at the time following a rain shower about 10 minutes before takeoff. Departure was at 16:49 local time. This footage was shot in Super Fine High Definition with a Samsung HMX-H200 camcorder.

Filmed on 28 October 2011, this video contains some shots of aircraft at Dublin Airport, including a first for me, the Air France Beoing 747F - this being the first time I'd seen a 747 at Dublin. Also included are the usual visitors including Aer Lingus, Aer Arann Regional (Aer lingus regional), Etihad, Ryanair and a few more in the titles. This was only a fleeting visit as our trip was to Galway and we decided to drive over to Dublin to see what the journey was like, having always flown it in the past. The answer was, very long! and surprisingly expensive due to all the tolls along the route. That coupled with food poisioning on the trip didn't make for an altogether happy experience!!

Full HD footage of Aer Lingus A321-211 (Registration : EI-CPE) being pushed back from Gate 82 in London Heathrow for the second last flight of the evening to Dublin, Ireland as flight number EI179. An interesting fact about this aircraft is that it is the oldest aircraft in the current Aer Lingus fleet at almost 13 years old. It was delivered on 11/12/1998. It is one of only 3 A321 aircraft which they operate in their all Airbus fleet. As with all Aer Lingus aircraft this aircraft is named after an Irish saint. This is called "St-Enda/Eanna". This is how pushback is done by some of the best in the business. Thought it was worth getting on film. This was filmed with a Samsung HMX-H200 camcorder. ATC tape of Aer Lingus 'Mayday' at Orlando Airport. May 13th 2010 2230Z. An Aer Lingus Airbus A330-200, registration EI-LAX performing flight EI-120 from Orlando,FL (USA) to Dublin (Ireland) with 245 passengers and 11 crew, had just departed runway 18L when the crew declared emergency reporting their left hand engine (CF6) had failed due to a massive loss of oil. The airplane levelled off at 2000 feet initially then climbed to 3000 feet for a left hand traffic pattern and landed safely back on runway 18R 25 minutes after takeoff, vacated the runway, fire services inspected the left hand engine on the taxiway and found everything normal except for the engine not running, the airplane taxied to the gate. Runway 18L was closed for about 25 minutes to conduct a runway inspection following the departure.

EI-ABI, takes off at 1630 on 24.02.2011, and lands about 15 minutes later. Aer Lingus has returned its first aircraft, The IOLAR, to flight as part of its 75th Birthday celebrations. "On 27 May 1936, five days after being registered as an airline, its first service began between Baldonnel Airfield in Dublin and Whitchurch in Bristol, England, using a six-seater De Havilland 84 Dragon (registration EI-ABI) biplane, named Iolar (Eagle). The original aircraft acquired by Aer Lingus (DH.84 Dragon MK2) was later sold to an english company in 1938 as the airline expanded. The original aircraft is believed to have been shot down and lost in 1941 near the scilly isles during WW2."

It has been announced that on the 25th March 2012 all Aer Arann Regional services will be re-branded into Aer Lingus Regional operations. This will mean an end to the Aer Arann brand and RE flight numbers. Aer Arann will still exist but operating this franchise rather than under it's own brand, they will still fly the aircraft and employ people and importantly will still be flying. Aer Arann has undergone huge changes in the past year under immensely challenging times for the aviation industry. With the economic turmoil in Ireland, and globally, the introduction of huge hikes in APD in the UK, the loss of PSO routes in Ireland. Hopefully this new venture (similar to the way in which Scotland's regional airline Loganair operates) will mean stability and growth for Aer Arann and it's people moving forward. It will be a sad day for me to see Aer Arann brand disappear, I've supported them a lot over the past few years, and the loss of any livery (despite how bland it became recently) makes aircraft spotting that bit less interesting, however I hope this 'tribute' video shows a fraction of the footage I've gathered of Aer Arann over the years. Stick with it to the very end to see how the brand will be displayed in future. Good luck to the people of Aer Arann, thank you for the many great trips to Galway Airport and others.

Aer Arann ATR72-500 aircraft in the special Celtic Rings "triskels" livery. Filmed in Galway, Cork, London Luton & London City Airports. One of the aircraft, EI-REO was only days old when captured at Galway Airport, Carnmore Ireland in 2008 sporting the distinctive Aer Arann special paint scheme. On 21 Feb 2010 EI-REO was still looking resplendent at London City Airport. Days later, I flew on the same aircraft to Galway Airport and at that time, 19th March 2010 it was in Aer Lingus Regional colours.

Beautiful dusk approach to Budapest, over the mountains then over Buda, Duna river, Pest and then landing at Fegihery airport rwy 13R followed by taxi to terminal area. I know this is a rather long video but the glowing lights after landing is worth to see!! Frames encoded to 60 and all settings are maxed. No special video editing effects are used to make this video! It's pure fsx along with REX 2.0, Ezdok and Mega Airport Budapest. (Let's say Aer Lingus had the A320 used on this route in maintenance so this A330-200 had to be used instead ;)
