This is an interview of Dr. Alan J. Lipman on the famous case of Astronaut Lisa Nowak who was accused of attempted kidnapping, battery and burglary. Dr. Lipman discusses the causes of Nowak's behavior, including her having driven 1000 miles to confront a romantic rival for her space shuttle captain lover. Lipman describes Nowak's having confronted her victim in the airport parking lot, having attempted to get her into her car, and assaulting her with pepper spray. Nowak eventually pled guilty to these charges; and Lipman provides what proved to be a remarkably accurate step-by-step descrption of the likely causes and inside the mind analysis of her mental state that drove these actions.
