X-Patriate's (Alan J. Lipman) newest: A Physical Thing, from the upcoming release "The Cost", featuring "More and More Like a Civil War", as well as "Dirty Life", "Future Remembers", "Rome Burns", and "The Cost." This time, X-Patriate brings us a personal story from--and a metaphor for--the streets of DC. A professional woman walks the streets of DC, as she fights not to remember--and not to forget--a recent affair, as she passes the triggering landmarks of the relationship. DC--a city that struggles to remember and to forget its brief affairs. As always, Lipman wrote the music and lyrics, plays all the instruments, does all the vocals, and directed the video. Whew. Note the Beatlesque "All You Need is Love" build in the last two minutes, including French Horn, Orchestral Trumpets, Carillion...and Subway bells. Featuring model Kelly Ann, acting in the role of the protagonist. Thanks, Kelly. Copyright 2006 Alan J. Lipman/X-Patriate Music All Rights Reserved. X-Patriate is DC. (TM). Lipman/X-Patriate Music She created a fantasy And used it to justify It was just A Physical Thing She wanted She didn't think And she didn't quite Know why It was just A Physical Thing Hungry to be awake To be angry To be proud It was just A Physical Thing To show them To be real To shut it off To be loud It was just A Physical Thing She should get to be Who she wants to be, right ...
