Part 1 of 2: There was a media frenzy the day Lucille Ball died. It was the lead story on all the newscasts. CBS did a special one-hour tribute that night on Lucille Ball. "Entertainment Tonight" devoted its entire broadcast that night to Lucy. ABC's "Nightline" dedicated its broadcast to Lucy. CBS's late night show "CBS News Nightwatch" did their own tribute. And anyone else who got the news in time, such as Pat Sajak on his late-night show, had something to say. Then the following morning, all the morning shows -- "The Today Show", "Good Morning America", and "CBS This Morning" -- spent the better portion of their two-hour broadcasts covering Lucille Ball. This two-part clip features some of the late night coverage on April 26, 1989. Included are Pat Sajak's reflections, the tail-end of "Nightline" with Jerry Lewis making comments (sorry, I didn't realize "Nightline" was doing this tribute so I only have the last couple minutes), and Lucy biographer Bart Andrews being interviewed by Charlie Rose that night on "CBS News Nightwatch."
