This is a very short interview with one of the creative geniuses behind a lot of very stylish music videos. Lol was also part of the group 10cc who was one of the few bright spots of '70s music.

Lol Creme not only played the guitar for the The Buggles at The Lost Gig performance on Sep 28, 2010 in London, but also sang one of the greatest 10cc songs: Rubber Bullets. Here's the last part of that song, as well as the beginning of "I'm not in Love", another 10cc hit. Note: This concert was a fund-raiser for the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability (www.rhn.org.uk and raised about £85k that night through ticket sales, raffles and auctions.

Another rare gem from the extensive vaults of the 10cc fan club www.the10ccfanclub.com this clip takes us back to around 1983 with Kevin and Lol being interviewed by Anne And Nick on an early morning chatshow we do hope you enjoy this rare interview from the eighties Dave, Val and Roy (AKA......The Boy)

Kevin Godley and Lol Creme were one half of the original 10cc, who left the group to explore a guitar attachment they had invented. It was called the 'Gizmo' and had rotating mini-wheels with serated edges which bowed one or more guitar strings. They produced a three record demo set entitled 'Consequences' which had some Gizmo orchestration, some three minute songs, sound effects and dialogue by the British comedian, Peter Cook. Consequences was a strange, ambitious and expensive set. Its theme was 'man's last defence against an irate nature'. I bought Consequences here in Australia without having heard it, loved half of it, and the other half less so. Unfortunately, Consequences was a commercial and critical flop. Check out the web site 'Mr Blint's Attic' which is devoted to the album Consequences, which has interviews with G and C about the making of that album. Very interesting to hear their sometimes self critical thoughts years down the road. I love the songs on Consequences, and it's a shame that more people have not heard them. Hence this video. This is my take on Honolulu Lulu. Comments are welcome.

Lol Creme & Kevin Godley song as a music video I made in college back in 1984. It won a local film competition and got me a good grade, so I am greatful they allowed me the use of their great song as insptiration for this narative music video. Credit goes to my fellow college film students who helped my turn my vision into this short music video.

Godley & Creme was an English pop music duo comprising Kevin Godley and Lol Creme. The pair began releasing albums as a duo after splitting from the pop band 10cc. In 1979 they directed their first Music Video for themselves "An Englishman in New York". After this, they became involved in directing videos for such artists as Ultravox, The Police, Duran Duran and Frankie Goes To Hollywood as well as directing the ground-breaking promo for their own "Cry" in 1985. The duo split at the end of the 1980's and have both been involved in Music Videos, TV Commercials and sporadic music projects since.

10cc are an English art rock band who achieved their greatest commercial success in the 1970s. Initially comprising four musicians — Graham Gouldman, Eric Stewart, Kevin Godley and Lol Creme — who had written and recorded together for some three years, before assuming the 10cc name in 1972. Two strong song-writing teams, a commercial team and an artistic team, injected sharp wit to lyrically-dextrous songs. The commercial team (Stewart and Gouldman) were straight pop-song-writers, who created the bands most accessible songs; the artistic team (Godley and Creme) were the experimental half of 10cc, featuring an Art School sensibility and cinematic writing. Each man was a multi-instrumentalist, singer, writer, and producer, and each could perform as the lead singer.

Rare demo/backing track from Strawberry Studios, recorded just before the split back in 1976. "Voodoo Boogie" featured a more offbeat arrangement and prominent backing vocals by Lol Creme, but the track was considered "awful" when assembled together and Godley and Creme left the group shortly thereafter. The video is a promo with the official version. It was released just after the split. I have tried to syncronize the soundtrack...

Kevin Godley and Lol Creme formed half of the band 10cc (1970's). All four band members contributed songs to 10cc's albums. In 1976 Godley & Creme left 10cc and produced 3 concept albums. This song is from the 1979 album Freeze Frame. This is the full length version. en.wikipedia.org

Hotlegs was the group which released the silly "Neanderthal Man" in 1970, and featured Kevin Godley, Lol Creme and Eric Stewart, who would of course form 10CC a few years later. The missing link is Graham Gouldman, who joined Hotlegs at their tail end, just in time to play bass on this, the most gorgeous track Godley and Creme ever wrote. Simply heavenly!
