LONDON UNREST:Anarchists clash with London police - MAR 26/27,2011

IGIC (INFORMUNIVERSE): Violence that continued late into last night has overshadowed yesterday's massive anti-government cuts demonstrations in central London. Clashes between Police and Student Protesters in London [Farsi Report] [Nov 24, 2010]

Student protests turn violent in London A second mass student protest in London has turned violent with protesters complaining that the government would not pay attention to their peaceful measures. There had been a huge turnout for the demonstration - much more than the 20000 that the organizers had been expecting, a Press TV correspondent reported from London. There were strong feelings on the march - with much vitriol targeted towards Prime Minister David Cameron and his deputy Nick Clegg. Banners and pictures particularly accused Clegg, often in unambiguous terms, of betraying students, according to the report. The students accused the Liberal Democrats' leader of breaking his party's promise to students to vote against a fee increase. The protesters chanted slogans such as, "No ifs, no buts, no education cuts", "Ho Ho Cameron has got to go", and Tory Scum Here We Come". In London, violence intensified after protesters reached Trafalgar Square and police began arresting students. As the public frustration gathered pace among protesters, a group of students tried to overturn a police van, while other engaged in street battle with police. A protester told Press TV correspondent that the government and the media have been trying to induce an image of protesters that the public treat them as anarchists. Gaza Protest - clashes with riot police outside Israeli embassy London 10 January 2009

Up to 150000 people took to the streets of London on Saturday in a mass show of solidarity with Palestinians caught under Israeli bombs in the Gaza Strip. The London demonstration was part of a wave of outrage at Israel. More than 10000 marched in Edinburgh. At least 30000 protested in Paris and 100000 in Barcelona. There were further marches in the US, Norway, Greece, Malaysia, Sweden, Bosnia, Lebanon, Thailand, South Korea and India. The London demonstration drew families, young people and trade unionists. As the march assembled Hyde Park had a thick covering of frost. Demonstrators braved freezing temperatures to march from Speakers Corner in Hyde Park, through Notting Hill Gate, up Kensington High Street by the Israeli embassy to a rally filling the road by Kensington Gardens. The good natured and determined march spilled across barriers to block whole roads, bringing parts of West London to a standstill. Towards the end of the rally marchers were still passing Queensway right across Hyde Park. Police initially claimed that only 12000 people marched (the same figure they chose for a sizable, but far smaller march last Saturday), though they later increased this to 20000. Many protesters stopped outside the gates to the road containing the embassy, to throw shoes. As the numbers grew after the rally, witnesses said riot police defending the gate sprayed white clouds of gas at a section of the crowd. Some fainted as they were overcome by the gas. CCTV video shows 'attempted police murder' during London riots

As British police released CCTV footage showing officers being knocked over whilst chasing looters in London the deputy prime minister vowed that criminals would be punished. Nick Clegg said on Tuesday that those affected by the rioting would "see people in visible orange clothing making up for the damage done," to their communities. He was talking about crimes like the ones seen in CCTV footage released by the Metropolitan Police showing a gang looting a shop and running off. Two police officers were mown down by a car whilst they were dealing with the group in East London on 8 August. The video has been released by detectives in the hope it will encourage people to come forward and identify those responsible. RT on Twitter: twitter.com RT on Facebook: www.facebook.com

Pro-Palestinian Protesters clash with police in London

People protesting Israel's assault on Gaza throw bottles and metal at mounted police in London. Thousands of demonstrators marched through London, England Saturday calling for an immediate end to the violence in Gaza. The demonstration was organized by groups including the Stop the War Coalition and the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, with more than 100000 people expected to join the march through the capital in protest at Israel's ongoing attacks on the Gaza Strip. Fighting between Israeli forces and Hamas has entered its third week and goes on in defiance of Thursday's United Nations resolution calling for an immediate cease-fire. The Guardian newspaper said celebrities -- including musicians Brian Eno and Annie Lennox -- spoke at a rally before the procession, which went from Hyde Park to the Israeli embassy in Kensington, West London. The Times newspaper reported that Lauren Booth, the sister-in-law of former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, also spoke at the rally. During her speech, she criticized Blair over his attempts to bring about a successful resolution to the conflict. "Tony Blair's only comment regarding the ceasefire has been to say that it can only take place after the tunnels in Gaza are destroyed," The Times quoted her as saying. "What he is suggesting means that after the massacre people will have no access to food, kerosene and medicines that came through those tunnels. That is not a ceasefire that is a slow agonizing death." Former Mayor of London ...

Good Example Of Why The Kids In London Hate The Police.

Uploaded by kronos123ful on Aug 11, 2011 The policemen attack this young boy because he is recording them stop and search a young black boy for no reason. You can ovbiously see the policemen block the boy from recording them and tormenting him eventually using that opportunity to bring him down @ 1:18 you can clearly see the policemen tell his partner to push the young man so they can use that as an excuse to detain him . THIS IS A CAUSE OF DISCRIMINATION!! download this video and spread it around saveyoutube.com
