Maxwell Maltz and Dan Kennedy- The New Psycho-Cybernetics

Psycho-Cybernetics is a classic self-help book, written by Maxwell Maltz in 1960 and published by the non-profit Psycho-Cybernetics Foundation. Motivational and self-help experts in personal development, including Zig Ziglar, Tony Robbins, Brian Tracy have based their techniques on Maxwell Maltz. Many of the psychological methods of training elite athletes are based on the concepts in Psycho-Cybernetics as well.[2] The book combines the cognitive behavioral technique of teaching an individual how to regulate self-concept developed by Prescott Lecky with the cybernetics of Norbert Wiener and John von Neumann. The book defines the mind-body connection as the core in succeeding in attaining personal goals.[3] Maltz found that his plastic surgery patients often had expectations that were not satisfied by the surgery, so he pursued a means of helping them set the goal of a positive outcome through visualization of that positive outcome.[3] Maltz became interested in why setting goals works. He learned that the power of self-affirmation and mental visualization techniques used the connection between the mind and the body. He specified techniques to develop a positive inner goal as a means of developing a positive outer goal. This concentration on inner attitudes is essential to his approach, as a person's outer success can never rise above the one visualized internally.

Panic-Stopper Psycho-Cybernetics Dr. Maxwell Maltz Self-Image Psychology

www.panic-stopper.com Dr. Maxwell Maltz , MD was a world renounded plastic surgeon who in the early 1960`s published the best seller Psycho-Cybernetics which focuses on how much a person`s self-image can affect their ability to succeed , as well as proven steps that can be used to re-make your self image. Through decades of work as a plastic surgeon, Dr. Maltz came to this groundbreaking conclusion because he was elated to see the dramatic changes in patients immediately after reconstructive plasitc surgery, but at the same time shocked to see the amount of people who after extensive facial reconstruction still felt exactly the same way about themselves as before the operation had taken place. This led him to the simple reality that beauty is more than skin deep because you can change a person`s face , but you can`t change the way that person looks at themselves. Now, with my program (Panic-Stopper A Psycho-Cybernetic Breakthrough for Anxiety), what you will realize about anxieties , Phobias , Compulsiveness, and Stress is no different.

Otis Ben Maltz Gallery: MexiCali Biennial 09/10

Ben Maltz Gallery show January 23 - March 20, 2010. MexiCali Biennial 09/10 highlights the work of artists from California and Mexico, selected by Biennial Curators/Artists Ed Gomez ('03, MFA), Luis G. Hernandez ('03, MFA), and Amy Pederson. Working in photography, painting, sculpture, performance and new media, the artists from both sides of the border interrogate the economies of exchange underlying extant constructs of race, nationalism, art, and identity in the region, while insisting on a transgressive fluidity between media and territory. The presentation at the OTIS Ben Maltz Gallery is the culmination of a year-long exploration and discussion about the physical and political realities of crossing culture, language, and boundaries. The MexiCali Biennial began as art project between Ed Gomez and Luis G. Hernandez in April of 2006. Gomez and Hernandez are both curators and artists who live and work in Los Angeles, CA. The first MexiCali Biennial took place in Mexicali in 2006 with the idea of producing an exhibition featuring artists from California and Mexico. Artists in the Exhibition: Skip Arnold, Juan Bastardo, Bordermates, Anibal Catalan, Pablo H. Cobian, Jeff Chabot, Michelle Chong ('06, MFA), Fernando Corona, Fidel Hernández, Luis G. Hernandez, Rebeca Hernández, Homeless, ICE, Nicholas Kersulis, Ryan Lamb, Ivan Limas, Albert Lopez, Matt McFarland ('03, MFA), Txema Novelo, Susana Rodriguez, Michelle Romero, Ernesto Rosas, Joaquin Segura, Gustavo Siono ...

Otis Ben Maltz Gallery: 3 Solo Projects

Otis College Ben Maltz Gallery Exhibition: 3 Solo Projects: Lynn Aldrich, Jessica Rath, Carrie Ungerman is on show April 18 - June 13, 2009 3 Solo Projects is the second in a series of exhibitions highlighting the work of Southern California artists. Lynn Aldrich, Jessica Rath, and Carrie Ungerman have each created a new site-specific installation. While each work is independent, they are tied to a larger conversation about natural resources such as water. The three sculptors use common, readily available materials in quantity: 25000 clear plastic water bottles, dozens of Navajo white rain gutters, and gallons of liquid latex to make beautiful, tactile, and poignant experiences addressing key metaphors of abundance, scarcity, growth, and decline. 3 Solo Projects is made possible in part by grants from Durfee Foundation and Pasadena Art Alliance.

Maxwell Maltz Quotes: Psycho-Cybernetics and Self-Esteem

Not achieving your goals? Low self-esteem is at the root of self-talk like "I've never done anything like this before. I can't do it. Why bother?" It is as subtle and limiting an impediment to success as one can imagine. If this is an issue for you, I conclude this video with the good news that comes with even the least recognition of low self-esteem. For more success ideas, please visit www.MindofSuccess.com .
