Catching Mew in Pokemon Red and Blue versions
READ ME Thanks for 2 million views! This is an instructional video of how to catch Mew, the 151st Pokemon in the original Red and Blue versions, without the use of a cheating device, and on your first trip to Cerulean City. Answers to common questions: 1. The trainer with the Slowpoke needs to walk up to you as shown in the video. You cannot walk just one block in front of him, or else your game will freeze. 2. This was done on a Pokemon Blue ROM. The reason for all the color is because the emulator I used to play it was a Super GameBoy emulator and the emulator uses colors which are not the same when you play the game with an actual GameBoy Color. 3. Yes, this also works on Pokemon Yellow. 4. No, this does not work in Fire Red and Leaf Green. This was a glitch which was not intended to be left in the game (just like Missingno) and was taken out in the much cleaner and glitch-free Fire Red and Leaf Green. 5. An easier way to catch Abra is to catch a Caterpie in Viridian Forest and level it up to a Butterfree until it learns Sleep Powder (level 15 in yellow, level 17 in red and blue) and when it's faster than an Abra. 6. The music is called # for Arnhem Land (Long Edit) by Aalborg World Soundtracks, not Sympathy for the Devil by The Rolling Stones. I had to change the music but I actually like the new track better.

Mew Glitch
I figured out a glitch to capture a Level 7 Mew in Pokemon Red Version without Gameshark or Action Replay. Heres the Instructions: Intro & Preparation First of all, make sure the game you're playing is Pokemon Red, Blue, or Yellow Version. Now start by making sure you have a Pokemon capable of fly or teleport (fly is preferable). Make sure you have an adequate suplly of Pokeballs (Great Balls, Ultra Balls, etc.). Make sure you have a pokemon capable of weakening a level 7 Mew. Lastly, ensure that you have not battled with the guy with the Slowpoke on Nugget Bridge and the Gambler in front of the underground passage next to Lavender Town. Tutorial Start from Lavender Town and walk towards the Underground Passage. Make sure the man doesnt spot you and go inside. Save the game in case you screw up from here. Next, take one step south, you should be right outside the door but you shouldnt be able to see the Gambler. Then, take one step south and press start immediately after (if he sees you and your start menu doesnt show, reset your game and repeat the steps above until you get it right). Then, select a flying pokemon with fly and fly to Cerulean City (or teleport back to Lavender and walk back to Cerulean). You will notice an exclamation mark above the Gambler's head but you fly away right after. Once in Cerulean, head north to Nugget Bridge (towards Bill's House). You will notice that your start menu doesnt work because the game thinks that you're in a battle with the <b>...</b>

Pokémon Emerald: Catching Mew
Now, now, I KNOW what you're thinking: "Kisai! This is cheating!" Weeellll... I think, technically, it isn't. I mean, I'm not getting anything that isn't normally allowed. This is allowable, except that Nintendo's never done an event for the Old Sea Map. Besides, there's NO other way I can get the Old Sea Map and Mystic Ticket. Also, it seems like Nintendo's cheating in the first place by making these unobtainable Pokémon so unfairly impossible to acquire, that I feel like I'm just cheating back. ^_~ Now, if I were using three Mewtwos in Battle Frontier, or hacking a Pokémon's stats to values like 999, or catching Mew or Deoxys or Celebi in the wild, THEN that may be cheating. As for Mew, I already got him at the Toys 'R' Us event last October, so I think I should be permitted all the more to do this. ^^ No harm, really. Aside from that... I totally dig Mew's unique battle music. Also, I continue to be dramatic with my actions, taking in the awesomeness of being on Mew's island here, the beauty and everything, because you have to slow down and relish this experiance. You can't rush through it. Something this awesome needs to be cherished and loved. ^__^ Watching this is making me want to pick Emerald back up and continue training...
