Toronto based but Polish born producer Maciek Sztel aka MSZ has been delivering top notch progressive house and melodic breaks productions for Mistique for the better part of a year now. www.beatport.com He's grown into one of the most promising artists on Michael & Levan and Stiven Rivic's top label. This week we have the release of his 5 track 'Prism' EP which follows several strong productions recently including his spectacular remix of Soulfinder's 'Never Let Go'. The sublime 'A Flower On Adelaide St.' kicks the EP off with some nice glitchy atmosphere and a perfectly textured kick. When the bassline drops you're hit with something really unique and inspiring, it's a thick character laden wall of low end surges that sounds absolutely deadly. The accompanying melodic keys are trippy, incredibly hypnotic and swirl in perfect unison with MSZ amazing bassline. This is easily one of MSZ's best productions thus far, it's underground vibe is cool, unique and one of best originals on Mistique this year. 'Existo' follows with a warm and splendid summer vibe. This is another melodic beauty from MSZ, it's full of soft textures, wispy atmospherics and melodic accents to die for, simply gorgeous sounding stuff from Maciek. The track breaks down to a short breakbeat transition before much of the top end frequencies drop out and just the thick groove and drums remain, it's a great moment in the record and it really shows how gorgeous and warm that bassline is.
